Thats what makes it better and outstanding. Poker Face, Just Dance and Bad Romance did not sound like anything from 2008/2009 too!

Idk, I love the song, but it lacks the magic of the songs you listed. We'll see with the video anyway. It'd be high profile to debut it at SXSW but we all know she won't.

But what is "out there" right now? It's a hodgepodge of bland hits that came out of nowhere and Katy Perry. The fact that a ****** song like Happy can get so much airplay so quickly is proof that radio is desperately in need of songs to fill their playlists. It's like spring/summer 2013 all over again - songs that should never be known are becoming hits because radio has nothing else to play. The competition was huge with Applause and DWUW, but it's already died down. Now would be a perfect time for Gaga to release.
I seriously think they would welcome anything by Gaga right now. And I think G.U.Y. is unique and catchy enough to be a hit.

Do you think she's just going to snap her fingers and magically have a complete video, performances, and marketing plan ready to go? It takes time to make things as good as they can possible be.

She doesn't do half of that ****. She has a label for a reason. Instead she's drunk in Austin with no single, an incomplete video, and no real plan going forward.

Her singles sales dropped drastically last era => comes back with even less relatable lyrics.
Her youtube views dropped => Ask two photographers to direct her comeback music video.
Works for 2 years on ARTPOP => Abandon it after 2 months.

She's been AWOL for almost three months now. Other artists have had eras overlap and not be anywhere near as much of a train wreck.

I hope, if the multi music video happens, that she doesn't have a TEOG/Judas situation where the radio just chooses Venus, Aura, Gypsy, whatever, etc.

I know she is not stupid. She still can make it. But of course if she keeps working with her friend DJWS that wont happen. She needs help from great producers that will actually colaborate with her. Not like DJWS- not saying 'No Gaga, this is not good enough, it doesnt sound hooky etc. etc.'. One thing I admire her for is that she tries to do it all alone so she can prove herself. But sometimes you need a little help to be better.

To be fair, Applause has more views than every Born This Way video aside from Judas. So at least that worked out.

A marketing plan for an album that's out of the WW charts, including the US and UK ? Let's not.
This whole GUY video thing doesn't make sense in fact, there's no logic in putting millions in an album that's dead and hasn't been promoted for 3 months. Her current media blackout will ONLY make sense if she's working on a new album !!!!
