They only way Bernie would have won was going up against Trump. That's why I get why dems were weary of him as the nominee. He's too left for a general election but this would have been an anti-establishment vs anti-establishment election and I think Bernie would have walked away with it easily. Even republicans will tell you he's a socialist, but at least he's an "honest" socialist. It's not like most of his plans would have ever gotten enacted anyways.
