I only compared them to EXO and GG because Electric Shock and Hot Summer sound like the generic sort of bangers either group would release , as opposed to something like RPPP or Pinocchio which imo is more distinctly f(x).

And can f(controversy) not have godly music in my opinion? It's not really a big deal

Even when 2NE1 and SISTAR are considered a "top tier girl group", it's a known fact that female groups don't sell as much as male groups (and SNSD is a special case for being a "National Girl Group".

Wait, you f(x) fans can say they make better music than the rest of SM acts, yet they don't want f(x) to be compared to other SM acts? Ok sure.

Every single SM group post Super Junior has had an album sell over 185,000 except f(x) who can't even sell over 100,000. Red Light might be their first to cross the 100,000 plateu, but it's still nothing compared to other SM groups.

Saying f(x) doesn't get promotion is utter bullcrap. Krystal and Sulli are always acting, Victoria had a Chinese drama and does Chinese events, Luna participates in some singing shows and musicals and what not. They've also been on many high rated variety shows because of SM, they just don't have the "it" factor to garner a fanbase.

And lol how many people do you know are f(x) fans first and foremost? If you were to give every K-pop fan ultimatum of picking one group you stan and you can only stan them f(x) would not have a lot of people standing behind them.

(Also 2NE1 and SISTAR may not have SNSD level physical sales but their digital sales far eclipse f(x) so... not even comparable)


Honestly, I don't care though. I wouldn't have come for f(x) if he/she didn't come for EXO and SNSD out of nowhere.

It's simple. If there was truly a demand for f(x), it would be in the numbers. That one album that they release a year would sell massively. I mean, that's one of the reasons companies decide to even do repacks. They see how well the original album sold and they want to capitalize on it a bit more, so they tack on a few extra tracks and sell the album again. I'm not sure about f(x) sales compared to groups under different agencies, but like Kkamjong said, compared to SM artists, their sales are nothing to write home about. So again, it doesn't make sense for SM be like, okay lets do a repack or a DVD or live album, if the comeback album didn't do well in the first place.
