Just enjoy the show for what it is. This season its clearly less about the story telling/character development and more about the entertainment factor. Which is completely fine. Ryan did say this show could go on for a long time as long as rating stay up. One way to keep the audience interested is buy providing something new with each season. With that said i'm perfectly fine with this season being purely for entertainment purposes, campy and fun, it totally fits the "witch" factor of the show. I mean what show about witches isn't campy? I mean just look at Sabrina, Harry Potter, Charmed...all fun.

You're comparing a drama to a sitcom though.

And Harry Potter and Charmed were both well-written with moving plots and consistent character portrayal and growth. There's nothing wrong with camp, but that's literally all there is to this season.
It's shoddy, awful writing and Ryan Murphy has been in this business long enough to know better.

For a Disney Channel cartoon, maybe.
