Ok, but here's a more detailed review from that Xtinastan...

Hello all! So basically since I went to see the movie, I have not had a lot of time to get on my computer and really write what I thought plus I was really paranoid about the paperwork they had us sign. I know that was making some of you mad, but I have seen that people are ok with giving opinions and no scene details. I just think I can't tell you specifics. Sooo, because if I wouldnt have gone, and knowing that I would be here wanting all kinds of info too, I wanted to take the time to share more.
Ok...Thoughts.
Overall feel of movie - Fun! It was about entertainment. I had no moments where I wanted to cry or got real angry or anything. I was just kinda smiling and enjoying it the whole time. It felt current and kinda naughty. I feel like the movie started and immediately the statement was "I AM A MUSICAL, ENJOY B*TCHES". lol. It wasnt quite camp but it didnt take itself too seriously either (nothing like Showgirls for me and I LOOOVE that movie for camp factor, but its nothing like this one). I liked it a lot and I am a big fan of musicals. Moulin Rouge and Grease are my fave musicals and I think Chicago was just ok (cuz Broadway version just kicked its butt) and more recently Fame, which are more on the bottom end of what I like. And I didnt hate them, they just were one time viewings for me. I say this to give you a reference for my taste in musical movies. For me, Burlesque is probably my new 3rd fave musical movie after Moulin Rouge and Grease but before everything else that I have seen (and I have seen them all). I am really giving Burlesque a compliment here.
Acting - Xtina - Honestly, I was scared in the beginning. Really. I was like um...oh NO!!! But then she really got me once she interacted with the rest of the cast. She held her own and her character was fun. I really liked her character a lot. Some of her lines were very very funny. She didnt strike me as the regular innocent girl trying to make it big. She was her own type of woman. Cher was good. Face did not move but fab none the less. Fab. And Stanley Tucci was great cuz he just is. Alan Cummings was absolutely wonderfully cast. I heart him and would have loved to have seen even more of him. Cam was very very sexy. Sexy. Ummm...did I say, sexy? Eric Dane. Hot! Kristen Bell was beautiful!. Both guys were funny too. No one really feel flat for me. But...maybe it's the stan in me, I dont believe anyone was as FAB as Xtina was in this movie. Cuz she was just fierce, even when being a good girl! =)
Dance Numbers - Ummm...for real? Do u even need to ask? It was sexy dancing at its best. The Pussycat Dolls would have been jealous. Great dancing and musical numbers. Men will want to see this. For real! I had to check myself for a minute to make sure I was still a straight female. Every time there was a performance, I was spellbound. I would like to see it again right now to watch some of my faves over. And then I wanna go in the mirror and practice. I also now wanna go see a Burlesque show for real somewhere. I think there is one in LA. I am on a mission to find it.
Singing - I dont think I need to comment. Someone in the audience said "ummmm hmmm" all loud when Xtina started singing once and everybody kinda chuckled. Another woman said to me when we were leaving (I was totally asking random strangers opinions), "she could have just sung the whole movie and I would have been happy". Im not sure if she meant that she didnt wanna see her do anything else, lol, but I just took it that she liked her singing. I think we never have to worry about her vocals. Also, the friend I went with is not a Xtina fan. She kept asking me, is any of this music on that CD you got...cuz I want it. She kept asking me even though I told her no. She said she is buying the soundtrack. Oh I am too. If they sold it now, I would buy it. They should have sold it at a back table at the back the of the theater. Serious.
Visuals - they said they weren't done with everything but everyone looked super beautiful. Xtina looked sooo pretty all the time. Cher, like I said, had no facial movement and at one point, she was really dragilicious but the movie would not have been the same without her. Loved Cher. The colors were nice and I liked the atmosphere they created.
Things I didnt like - There were not a lot and I made my suggestions known with lots of details on the survey. They were small things. I cant wait to see the final result. Who is down to have a LA viewing party complete with bowler hats??
