Honey...in the United States and elsewhere, the Fame was rereleased as "The Fame Monster" in a Deluxe Edition whose sales counted toward the original tally of TF. But GaGa, being incredible as she is, made TFM a standalone album so it was more affordable for her diehard fans that have supported her since the beginning. She has stated numerous times that she thought that releases were unfair to the fans, so she was going to release her Sophomore effort as Kirill said. Plus, TFM is an entirely different conceptual album as well.
GaGa in TF era was bubbly, not as serious, and overall less dramatic. With the VMA performance of Paparazzi, we saw the new GaGa persona who was going to be leading us into TFM era.
It is her second album, so this discussion thread is about her third album.
