I've spent around 100 dollars in total on iTunes. Amazon on the other hand, about 50ish.
I only use the online music systems for buying songs though. Albums that I really like enough to buy to support that artist (with good music of course) I buy a physical copy of. I was FURIOUS, I mean LIVID when iTunes raised their prices. This whole '3 tier pricing system' in the US NEVERRR happened. It is more like a two tier system, where the prices are .99 and 1.29 dollars. I saw a couple of the .69 songs at the beginning, but now they are virtually absent from the store.
This may contribute to the success of BYH as well. It is .99 and it is doing AMAZING in the US right now. This should serve as a wake up call for the labels. WHO KNEW that lower prices in one of the worst economic crises in the US and the world in recent memory would SPUR sales!!
