Why is it not R&B? If a black girl was doing her music it'd be considered R&B.
I'd still consider it pop if she was black. Her sound is mainly pop. There are strong R&B influences in her music but that doesn't mean that her overall sound isn't pop.

There are 2 and half pop songs on the Yours Truly. I mean if we consider Daydream to be R&B then, when there are far more Urban leaning tracks on Yours Truly. Whatever though, tomayto, tomahto.

No, the overall sound is hip hop/R&B with some influences of pop. Ari has always slayed on rhythmic radio and the reason she hasn't done so well in urban is due to messy releases.
She's definitely primarily pop, but with an r&b edge. Problem is pop to the core.
during the YT era she was predominantly R&B but problem is definitely pop to the core and with an EDM track coming up with a bunch of those R&B snippets we heard.. this album is gonna be a genre clash omg. i hope she doesn't stray to far from her R&B sound because that's the ari i love the best
