It keeps changing, I like Shallan most times but her jam eating/love scenes from book one had me rolling my eyes. I like Dalinar when he's having the visions and Kaladin is interesting when he's not training or carrying bridges around (which is rarely).
I find the secondary characters (Wit, Jasnah, Szeth, Teft) more interesting than the main ones.
Yeah I reached the ship scene (unless there is more than one)...that was sad, I felt like the character had so much potential.

I finished Confess by Colleen Hoover which was ok, i liked it. it was typical YA with insta love, drama, etc

Now I'm reading Night Film by Marisha Pessl which is so good already. It's rare for me to find a book that grips me from the first page tbh

idk i read it when there was a huge hype around it and I was kinda let down. everyone kept telling me OMG THE PLOT TWIST and i wish they didn't because I kept looking for clues and I guessed it which took a lot away from the experience

anyway what do you think, where they ghosts or hallucinations?

Yes! Great book, very eerie and suspenseful and leaves you questioning everything you think you know the further you go into the story.

Meh, I was unimpressed. So much hype bigging the plot twist up to be this amazing mind-blowing thing and in the end I'd actually predicted that they were all dead from near the start and the circumstances which lead to the deaths were unbelievably stupid.

Also FINALLY got round to tackling some of my TBR books on my Kindle which have been sitting there for a few months. Half way through Cinder right now and considering I went into it with zero expectations I'm actually really enjoying it! Nice quick, easy read.

Sisters, I desperately want to get back into reading. I'm pretty much into everything, I just need a really good book that will hold my attention. Any recommendations for 'starters' so to say? I used to read so much but then internet became a thing and yeah y'all know how it goes..

If you just want something quick and un-put-downable to read to ease you back into reading I'd recommend some of these. They're all relatively short, don't require a huge deal of thought or concentration to follow and are still awesome.

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children (middle grade fantasy w/ horror/creepy elements)
Ready Player One (sci-fi)
172 Hours on the Moon (thriller/horror/sci-fi)
The Book Thief (young adult/historical fiction)

this book is so good it's crazy. it does all that and i'm kinda grieving it's only a book and not rl. i desperately want to watch cordova's movies and I'd die to see the peak.

It's been a while since I read it but tbh I remember finishing the book and not really knowing what to believe Throughout the whole thing I was convinced the whole theory of devil worship/cult was just his imagination and he was twisting seemingly normal events and actions and believing they were something more sinister, but then by the end I was like "eh maybe not"

Yeah, that's what I feel like too. I believed he was twisting it too at first, but the more I read, the more I believed it. Then when we were told the other story I thought 'ok this seems so much more plausible, this must be what really happened' but then I thought about how everything fit too perfectly and I become suspicious again.

i think about it and then I think that it must be a real curse but then I think about how all the answers came far too easy to him and how it seems like everyone was paid to tell him things and i have no idea what to believe anymore. and then he finds cordova and the books ends ugh

Ugh I don't like horror related things though. I'll be sure to check out some of these titles though. Anyone else got any recommendations? I'll drop by the library by the end of this week and get me some books.

I'm also kinda interested in reading about like, psychological stuff or really good books about important world events. Or broad and intriguing topics like astronomy or anything like that. Just anything interesting that will broaden my mind.
