Taylor Swift
Cheryl:
This isn't her best performance but I love the song so much, I don't think the back up singers were necessary. I cackled when she's doing flipping her hair back and forth. She was great but she has better performances.
Simon:
Ok. Even noting a little nervousness in her vocals it was a liked the most in this performance. She looks beautiful as always but that's all we got from this performance.
Nicole:
I wanted to fall asleep. She has way better performances. I don’t even mind vocals but a dull song with dull piano performing. She didn’t play the piano with great skill. Disappointed with this round.
Miley:
Taylor did what GaGa couldn't this round. She slayed just by sitting at the piano, staying on-key, captivating me with just her facial expressions and her little quirky turns to the audience and that EPIC 6 hair flip thing ;ahh; - she's really come a long way in performing and this definitely her fiercest performance. Well done.
Madonna:
Oh. Her vocals are great, but this performance is so boring and is making me sleepy, maybe that's just the nature of the song.
Sky:
This is a Grammy performance you forget after it's done. Filler between the exciting performances.
Rihanna
Cheryl:
I think they were voting you off because she wasn't the most important thing in that performance. Al the eyes were on the models but she did stole the spotlight for some seconds. Not her best
Simon:
It's not that "big performance" but the she looks fierce in this :fire: the end defines this performance
Nicole:
I had to cap it because I loved it don’t get me wrong, but it missed just something from perfection or near perfection. Otherwise, the strut was fierce! Her presence was just really natural and #Phresh and #Fierce.
Miley:
Sadly, I don't think this was a smart choice. This song has a lot of energy and Rihanna should have moved around at a faster pace compared to the stroll in the park stuff she did. I like how she interacted with the Victoria's Secret models, but the models themselves caused another problem. THEY took over the focus at the second verse. That may be fine for a Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, but in a game like ATRL's Fiercest Artist, the person you are representing needs to be the main focus at all times and Rihanna clearly wasn't. If it wasn't for her interacting with the models, plus her own catwalk at the end, you would have gotten a lower score. Be thankful you're not my lowest scoring contestant.
Madonna:
It's hard to stand out when you're surrounded by Victoria's Secret models, but she totally nailed it. When she walks down the runway at the end >>>
Sky:
Rihanna isn't doing much here. Anything really? It only works because of her swagger. That's fierce as ****, lbr.
Little Mix
Cheryl:
Slaaaaaaaaaaaay Little Mix, I can't believe this new group slayed big names like Katy Perry, Rihanna and Taylor Swift, this is the first time of LM being in this game and I know we are going to make it really far in the competition. Ah, I'm so excited!
Simon:
I love how their voices create so many melodie between them. It was entertaining but not amazing.
Nicole:
Yes! Perfect (well minus the little afro girl’s mess up on her solo) but it was only so minor that everything else was so good. The energy and vitality of that performance just excelled. Perfect score for a perfect performance.
Miley:
I forgot how energetic and fun this performance was and how great everyone looked. Thanks for reminding me. I had to mark you down though because there were times where they felt off-key to me.
Madonna:
This is the first time that I've seen a Little Mix performance. I like it. It isn't amazing, but it's certainly worth watching. Good choice
Sky:
The backdrop was exciting.
Team Simon
Madonna
Cheryl:
I'm glad you didn't send the Super Bowl performance. I remember dancing this song, watching this performance. There's not one performance that you can define this is Madonna's best but this is great.
Simon:
I really don't like Madonna in the present but "Confessions on a dancefloor" was an amazing era. Just like in this performance she prooved why she's called "Queen Of Pop". Iconic Song + Iconic Peformance
Nicole:
Didn’t expect anything less. It was just really good. Full stop.
Miley:
SO close to getting a 10 from me, but Madonna's vocals were a bit rough. But it was still fierce. I loved all the choreography and how she kept moving and how she just kept the audience engaged. She really brought it. I just wish her vocals were better.
Madonna:
I love the fact that I came out from a disco ball. Overall, this is a good performance but I have better ones. Daniel Cloud Campos tho >>>
Sky:
See, I grade on a curve. And with Madonna, she's such a queen. And has so many iconic performances, to submit this random one is a little confusing.
Girls Aloud
Cheryl:
I want you out but not because this sucks (isn't their best but is cute) I think I'm going to cry with all your entries. I miss them so much, Sarah was a ****ing mess in all this era. Lindsay Lohan teas all the time with her. The X-Factor Performance would have been so much better
Simon:
The vocals, the outfit and the end of the performance makes it a good performance
Nicole:
A tad step up from Taylor but still very lacklustre. I remembering actually watching this on TV and thought it was a real let down. Certainly not the girls’ best performance of that song forget any other of their performances. And Sarah needs to stop the drugs
Miley:
The entrance was fierce. The outfits were fierce. The handgesters during the song were all in unison and nice. The vocals were good. But I wish they did a little bit more with the song to help keep my attention, because this song bores me a bit. The key-change at the final chorus did that for me so thank god for that. Overall, I thought this was a pretty fierce performance, but the song choice wasn't strong enough for a 10.
Madonna:
***Flawless. I love everything about this performance. They make a great group.
Sky:
I feel like is the epitome of Girl Group done right.
Kesha
Cheryl:
nnnnn She was struggling since the first line. This is the first time that I took time to watch her performer. I wanted to stop so bad but I gave her another chance. Now I know why no one wanted to represent her. Thank you for trying.
Simon:
Kesha's vocals are a robotic mess i know that this performance is INSANE!! She literally BLOWED that place!
Nicole:
Oh em gee. I think I liked it better when she was in the air. I couldn’t give zero because that’s not fair and there was some effort. But talk about stiffness and robotic movements. Let me quickly move on.
Miley:
This really lacked anything dynamic. A fierce performance needs to be memorable and I can't recall anything about this performance that would stick out even a day after an award show like that. The main reason I didn't give you a 1 is because I liked the drum transition from Animal to Blow. Otherwise, this performance isn't fierce at all and sure as hell isn't special.
Madonna:
Ok that was amazing. She doesn't sound bad.

I love the transition between Animal and Blow
Sky:
Lbr, Animal isn't that exciting and I couldn't see her during Blow.
Team Miley
Beyonce
Cheryl:
She's the best but I wish she would sing more.
Simon:
Beyoncé is the best in performances! She has everything! The moves, the stage presence, the confidence and this one ways one of her best performances
Nicole:
Just stop it. You’re fab and you know it. The concept, visuals, dancing, outfit, and pretty much everything can literally be summed up in two words: On Point! Well done. A worthy ten.
Miley:
If only I had more time to talk with you this week about what to send in. I didn't like all the special effects that were in the background. Way too distracting. I think Beyoncé has proven that she can be fierce all by herself so her standing all on her own without the need of some special effects would have been a bigger impact. I did like though at the end when all the girls joined the stage with her. Suited the song perfectly. You represented yourself just fine for this round, but it's the middle of the pact for me so next round we need to step it up.
Madonna:
Mmmm. It's good, but c'mon she is Beyoncé, she can do better.
Sky:
Beyonce at her best. This is it. Any performer can aspire to be this.
Christina Aguilera
Cheryl:
It must have been a rough work to find one performance where she doesn't over-sings but then around 3:00, Christina is a great artist, I can't blame you.
Simon:
Amazing voice, but nothing more.
Nicole:
I really liked it. Understated, simple but effective. The choir kicks in and she stuns at the 3:12. I think she started a bit too slow and stopped it gaining full marks but very good!
Miley:
Out of the choices you sent me, I thought this was the fiercest. But stacked up against everyone else, it just falls flat. It actually makes me wish we had searched a bit further for a performance you could have used. A Dirty performance maybe? Oh well. If you're here next round, we'll have more time to talk since I'll be on Spring Break. Anyways, Christina wasn't bad by any means, but her performance just didn't stack up to everyone else.
Madonna:
Great voice. Boring performance
Sky:
I'm sure Beautiful has better performances. I think something more stripped would be better. The Grammy cameras moving around and the smoke take away from it.
Team Nicole
Britney Spears
Cheryl:
QUEEN.
Simon:
You know what? Her best performance ever!! Everybody knows it
Nicole:
Need I say more; Iconic!
Miley:
I really find this performance to be overrated. The only thing people talk about is the snake, and the snake is literally only ONE part of the performance. As a whole, it really is nothing special to watchback and it added absolutely nothing to the song. All it was was her lipsyncing to the track without adding any flavor to the song. I think her VMA performance of Oops! I Did It Again would have been a much better choice. The key thing about THAT performance was that she gave the song an edge by adding the dance breakdown. Her DWAD version of the song would have been a good choice as well because her vocals for the song have a lot of attitude. My point is that Britney made the performance DIFFERENT from the original song. Slave was just like the original song which is just plain boring. If it wasn't for the snake, you'd have a one out of 10.
Madonna:
Iconic. Amazing. Fierce. Can't give you anything less than a 10
Sky:
This is what this game is about. Really a 15/10 performance.
Shakira
Cheryl:
When will Teen WOLF!? Her outfit, the vocals and english isn't her first language. When will Paulina?
Simon:
It was a ris to send this performance cause it's too long but for me it really is entertaining all the time and never gets boring
Nicole:
The best performance out of the round for me. The concept, brilliant. Costume, perfect. Dancing, not just sporadic movements like some people tend to slip in to. Please keep up this standard!
Miley:
I loved the intro to She Wolf. Really brings you in. I also loved the transition into Give It Up To Me. It was very energetic. Shakira's choreography was on point and she was definitely looking like a fireball. Only problem is that there was a part in the performance where she was just standing still with no one around her in a part of the song where it just didn't make sense. A fierce performance should be interesting from start to finish and that one moment was just boring. Still a great performance though
Madonna:
I love She Wolf. Shakira is so sexy.
Sky:
I had no idea the NBA had music performances, let alone ones this grand.
Team Madonna
Gwen Stefani
Cheryl:
Gwen Stefani was so messy and I love it. I'm so ****ing pissed she went back with No Doubt.
Simon:
I love the way she uses her voice in thins song/performance! Outfit, vocals, visuals.. everything on point
Nicole:
I liked it because it’s messy but I think everyone knows that was a hot damn mess. And those vocals…eek watch out Katy
Miley:
The harajuku girls made the performance more interesting than Gwen can do honestly. She had the energy, but dear god those vocals were like listening to a rubber duck on helium.
Madonna:
Love the stage. It's like a remake of the music video. Also, her vocals are pretty good
Sky:
Where was the cultural appropriation police?
Jennifer Lopez
Cheryl:
JLo is a great performer, Beyonce level (Except the vocals). Yes, I said it. She just doesn't has the right songs.
Simon:
Such as Beyoncé she is one of the best performers of your time and you choosed one of her best
Nicole:
Not the biggest fan of the song but the performance was very fierce! She owned that stage and didn’t take any prisoners in that performance.
Miley:
I hate this song, just like the majority of J Lo's recent work. But this performance was exactly what fierce is. J Lo put on a show and just WORKED it on that stage. She just kept moving and kept my attention and that is how you should do it when it comes to performing. Well done.
Madonna:
Jenny is a great performer. I love her energy
Sky:
Her dancers who look like Pitbulls is too quiche. Btw a 10 would have been the tribute to Celia Cruz.
Lady Gaga
Cheryl:
I don't know if you were trying to prove that she was more than just a popstar but it just didn't work.
Simon:
I can't believe i'm giving Lady Gaga such a low score in a performance round... Her vocals are perfect but i just think she has so many better performances you could send
Nicole:
Damn you Sebas. Are you taking a leaf out of my book as a mentor? Just like Christina this was understated and effective. But what I loved was it was emotional, yet punchy. This is what Taylor’s piano performance lacked. Very, very good considering there was no high octane dancing.
Miley:
This is actually the first time this era where I actually enjoyed an ARTPOP related performance. It was nice to see a stripped down performance of this song. GaGa's vocal are pretty strong here and she looked great. The xylophone coming in later in the song was a nice touch. My only problem is that this performance doesn't really go anywhere and a fierce performance should be able to keep getting higher and higher till they reach the top. If GaGa had pulled a My Immortal on this performance and added some guitars and drums to the final chorus, I think this would have brought the performance to a whole nother level. But that never happened. Still, good performance enough for a 7.
Madonna:
One of the best performances of the artpop-era (vocally-wise). The piano xylophone is cool, but just like Taylor's and Xtina's performances, this is a bit boring.
Sky:
I grade on a curve. Gaga has so many 10/10s that this is unacceptable. Brits was a 18/10 moment and it had PianaGa too if you love that about her.
Team Sky
Miley Cyrus
Cheryl:
MLD would have beated easily Hilary with this performance. I didn't knew this existed.
Simon:
Amazing! the waker part is her vocals
Nicole:
Half of me really likes it (and wants to like it even more but only half marks for half liking it). She has such a good concept in that performance. Outfit and costumes, good. But she just ruined it for me because acting like you’re getting electrocuted is not fierce nor a good performance. Please tame her slightly.
Miley:
UGH! I'm so mad at myself for not choosing this performance for the finale in the game I represented her in. I could have had a better shot if I did. The intro was fierce and Miley looked great and her vocals were on point and she just gave it her all. My favorite performance of this song by miles. Great choice!
Madonna:
When her performances were more than just twerking.
Sky:
Serve that early rebellion.
Katy Perry
Cheryl:
Bye
Simon:
she has one of the worst voices live in the world. Her hair is horrible...
Nicole:
Ouch! Everything was so forced and made me cringe and want to cry. I thought she was going to fall in the lift when she was singing about sparkling (the irony). Not fierce at all. I had to give one for the ice sculptures in the back that were on fire.
Miley:
Katy's performances aren't usually the greatest. We all know that. With that being said, this performance really got going once E.T. crash-landed and Part Of Me started. Katy looked fierce, the glass-breaking at the start of the chorus was a nice touch and she just owned the stage with so much power and presence. That being said, the E.T. part was still nothing special and she was off-key at times. Her performance was still fierce enough to get a 7 from me.
Madonna:
Is this a late April's Fool joke? PoM is awful. She sounds awful. That wig is awful. wtf were you thinking?
Sky:
I'm not a fan and I thought this was very strong for Katy.
Kylie Minogue
Cheryl:
Every time I see her performance I get pissed she's not successful like Madonna
Simon:
Iconic performance. Kylie always bring it
Nicole:
I thought it was really good. I wanted to give it full marks because I loved the song and thought last season you were out too early. However, criticisms include the simplistic movements and very central –dominated stage presence. I’d like if she had all that production to give it a little more oomph, but it was still very good.
Miley:
Fantastic performance. The intro and the remixed beat were EVERYTHING . Kylie's live vocals were so nice and sultry at the same time and her energy matched the beat perfectly. This song is simply a dance club song so her body movements were at the perfect speed for such a song. Great choice!
Madonna:
CGYOOMH slays so hard. This performance is perfect. Lemme stan for her.
Sky:
Fierce af.
