Atlantica in KH1 is easily my least favorite world in the series. Navigating all the tunnels and passages gave me a headache, and that fight against Ursula...
Y'all stop with this hate in Atlantica, Ariel queen of the seires
The only factor difficult to follow between the entries is the fact that one person can also be another person. The actual stories are simple to follow, if we don't talk about Dream Drop Distance's final 30 minute. Sora and Xehanort are the ones that convolute the narrative.

Ven was a random boy who trained under Master Xehanort before BBS happened. Then, at the beginning of BBS, his heart got fractured (because his darkness portion, Vanitas, left his body) and went in search of a strong heart that would help him survive, and Sora (at the moment, he was a very young child) offered part of his heart to him. Then BBS happened and Ven fell into sleep because the fight between his darkness self and his light self practically destroyed his heart, but with the help of Sora's portion, he will recover eventually.
Roxas looks like Ven because the link between Sora and Ven's hearts, but Roxas has his own heart apart from the two.

I've always thought Ven's story was more obvious than Xehanort and his "horcruxes"
The most tough part for me was Terranort (Terra's body with Xehanort spirit) : he's the reason why we have Ansem (the Heartless) and Xemnas... That's why both of them look like Terra) Actually I didn't understand who he really was...
Anyway it's hard to follow the all thing... But there's no inconsistencies.

Oh yeah I agree with ya!!! But still there's not "holes" in the plots but it's very confusing
Yeah, Ven is resting until his heart recovers from the final fight that happened in his BBS story. And he can recover because he linked his heart with Sora. That's why Sora allegedly hear his voice at the beginning of his adventure when he visits Dive Into The Heart.
But it's the truth, there were multiple ways to solve the narrative being written into a corner thanks to what we learnt with BBS and the handheld titles, but time travel and horrocruxes weren't one of them. It turned the premise of KH3 into a joke and took away all the meaning of Sora's KH1 and 2 adventures. DDD final 20 minutes were a mistake.

The KHX Back Cover will be completely new and not just taken from the current games
It specifically says that it will unravel the many mysteries that surround the origin of the series, so it seems like it will become an episode of great importance.
The story synopsis is basically the Chi synopsis, about the Grand Master, who could see the future and saw great sorrow so he bestowed with his foreseeing eye the Book of Prophecy among 5 of his 6 pupils. They came together to form Unions in order to fight the dark beings (Heartless) and protecting the "light".
While it says it's unknown how much work has been put into 2.8 at this moment, it teases saying that since voices were attached to the KHX Back Cover section of the trailer, casting may be complete.
KINGDOM HEARTS 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage –
The most interesting thing is a very brief mention of BBS 0.2's story. It says it happens sometime along Aqua's loitering around in the Realm of Darkness, but it is specifically hiding where in the 10 year gap between BBS and KH1 this occurs.
During this loitering she stumbles across "unknown memories" and an encounter.
KINGDOM HEARTS Dream Drop Distance HD
KH3D seems to have no additions, based solely on what this article is presenting. (Had a read through what it was saying for KH3D again, and it seems there might be new content. They say that the existence of additional components (content) is something people should ponder about (they are sort of implying there might be)
Aqua, Riku and Lea/Axel are the trinity. Riku seemed just an excuse for an antagonist close to the main protagonist in the first game, but he has evolved a lot since then and the fact that we got to see his character develop through every game is why he's one of my faves.

I'll always have a soft spot for sweet little Sora in the first Kingdom Hearts game. But they dumbed him down so hard in the sequel and in DDD that it has been harder to care about him as much. Riku is actually a very believable character when you consider his circumstance. Very kind and selfless after a rather selfish beginning. I feel for him. Axel/Lea is a good character, true, the only Organization member to really have his own arc and development. His love for his friend was so moving. His sacrifice brings me to tears still. I'll take Roxas over Ven any day though.
Namine and Xion were both great characters too lbr.

Sora is kiwt but annoying as **** sometimes, Riku is my king
You can give Sora a lot of ****, but he communicates problems with others unlike Terra/Aqua/Ventus trio and Riku. I liked Riku a lot in CoM and even now overall but he was such a pussybitch in KH2; and it seems like he keeps doubting himself more as time went on. DDD was supposed to be only Riku's game, but all the fans were complaining about not playing Sora after such a long time, so DDD was at Sora's expense. Though Sora's speech to Xigbar at the end of DDD was really good.
The Terra/Aqua/Ventus trio barely communicated and it's why Master Xehanort ****ed them over so easily. A lot of the blame definitely has to go to the narrow-minded Master Eraqus; him and Xion are probably the only two characters I really don't like.
