New Track: Lady Gaga - "Aura"

I think Aura is the best way to start the album, because: a) it introduces her so well--do you want to see who I really am, the girl behind the fame and stuff (since she said it's her most personal album), and b) it really incorporates that idea with the ideas of ARTPOP.
The lyrics are some of the best we've gotten in this era, too. I love how layered in meaning the lyrics are--so many double meanings and ****. There's definitely a LOT going on in this song.
"I killed my poor friend
Left her in the trunk on Highway 10
Put the knife under the hood
If you find it, send it straight to Hollywood"
The opening is obviously meant to fit in with Machete Kills, as well as the end of the Telephone video, however it's probably also about Stefani/Gaga. Another fame reference.
"I'm not a wandering slave, I am a woman of choice.
My veil is protection for the gorgeousness of my face."
That's a great line.
"You want to fancy me, 'cause there's always one man to love
But in the bedroom, the size of him's more than enough."
Is she talking about a dick? I don't get how this sexual reference fits in with the rest of the song, lol.
"Do you want to see me naked, lover? Do you want to peek underneath the cover?
Do you want to see the girl who lives behind the aura?
Do you want to touch me, cosmic lover? Do you want to peek underneath the cover?
Do you want to see the girl who lives behind the aura?"
As with many of her songs, the chorus is a double entendre with sexual references, but also very personal ones: she's promising honesty and authenticity, a close up and personal look at who Gaga really is.
"Enigma popstar is fun, she wear burqa for fashion.
It's not a statement as much as just a move of passion."
Such a great line, she often incorporates fashion in her lyrics.
"I may not walk on your street or shoot a gun on your soil.
I hear you screaming, is it because of pleasure or toil?"
Acknowledges the controversy her platform/career/artistry entails.
"Dance. Sex. Art. Pop."
Sort of random, but it's really what she's all about: making sexy, artistic pop music that people can dance to.
This song is all about her and her career--the artistry, the inspiration, and the controversy that comes with it. It's excellent, and an amazing way to begin the album.

i'm afraid that aura won't have 3 choruses, which is too short and enough imo..
why gaga follows the GH format again ... the only thing i didn't like about GH was lack of second chorus before bridge

Just image a fancy Burqa commercial airing in Afghanistan using "Aura" . A global smash

Am I the only one who thinks Interscope is releasing the lyric video only to see what the reaction will be like so they may make it the 2nd single if it well-received ?
