It's expected. She released the song when American Idol was still running on TV. Since Cassadee released her single months after The Voice was finished, naturally, people kind of started to forget because she wasn't in the media anymore.
If Candice waited this long to put out her first single, she would've flopped badly, for sure. So that's a good thing that Cassadee is doing well. And her performance will most definitely help this song out and spread out awareness about her having a new single out.
