That reminds me of a convo my best friend and I had last week...

He was talking about some miracle cream that makes people look 20 years younger. He said it's magical cream, "Because it youth-enizes them." If you pronounce the slang he used out loud, he said "euthenize." I nearly died from laughter.

It should be up to the patient. There is still a chance they can recover and they shouldn't just go and give up on them automatically just because they are sick.

I know this is an extremely controversial topic, but personally, I support euthanasia. As I've previously stated, I really believe that people should be in control of their own lives, and that extends to the issue of death as well. If someone comes to the reasonable conclusion that they no longer want to live, that is their decision and we really have no right to stop them. At this point, I think we should be providing those people with a safe and painless way to die. Obviously, there's a lot of complicated discussion about what constitutes legitimate reason and the ethics of assisting in a suicide, but that's why we have set up so many safeguards. In the places where euthanasia is legal, there are psychiatric evaluations, witness corroborations and a waiting period before the operation can be performed. All of this forces people to confront why are they taking this route and determine whether it is truly the right decision, something that usually does not occur when people commit suicide. Ultimately, euthanasia is more about helping people than it is about killing.

Passive euthanasia, where medication wouldn't be used so that the person would pass away slowly, is what should be legalized. The consent of that person should also be asked for so that he or she'd know that euthanasia is being performed on him or her.

I wanna answer on the previous topics. (This thread is awesome, Geo King.)

For abortion, it should be legalized because it is the right of the mother to refuse an unwanted pregnancy. However, only fetuses on their first to the half of the second trimester should be the only ones allowed for the operation.

For same sex marriage, it SHOULD be legalized. Everyone has the right to be wed because even gay people have desires to have everlasting bonds with each other. Same sex marriage actually should just be called marriage, because it's the same thing with straight marriage.

For gun control, I'm kinda in between on this one. There should be a certain age where people can have possession of this weapon only for defense (i.e. at legal age). Laws should be made to punish people who have used these weapons not for defense.

For immigration, illegal immigrants should only be penalized monetarily and not brought to punishments much harsher than that. It's not that big of a deal, imo.

I'm for Euthanasia, I have seen some poeple is horrible condtions that they will never recover from and it would be much better if they were painlessly put to sleep.

I know, right? When I first got here, that was totally true. I don't think I left the charts section for the first couple months after I joined. But while I have begun participating in games and discussions in the lounge, overall, I'm still here for the music, and not because of the stanning or the fighting or the attention.

I think we should pull out of Afghanistan. The Death Toll is insane, we don't really have anything left to gain, there is enormous economic strain on us, and it is turning into a second "vietnam".
