Oprah Interviews Beyonce: Love, Empress, and the Industry
So the Oprah crew had a chance to finally sit down with the recently megastar Beyonce. She's a young, soulful, sassy, committed young woman, here with her first interview with Me Oprah Winfrey
Meeting Beyonce
O:Hello Beyonce, its a pleasure to meet you
B:As to you, I love the pigments in this room. Very Elegant
Beyonce Signed to SC Records
O:So, tell us first off, how does it feel finally being signed to SC Records
B: I was impressed by TheResonantZune in his belief I could be a star in this industry. I am thankful for his large investment in my career
O:The album, Empress, literally dropped very fast, how was the recording process and jumping on board to the pop world?
B: Well it literally was a whirlwind of producers, singing songs I had saved up alongside collaboration with producers & Singers I adore
O:I even heard you got a chance to sing with the lovely Mariah Carey. How was that? Also I heard a rumor about a potential Ke$ha collaboration that didn't work out. What happened there?
B:Well, here's how it went down. SC Records was in talks with different record companies about potentially doing a collaboration. Originally I personally wanted Ke$ha since she brought a more alternative angle to my music. In the end I didn't get to collaborate with Ke$ha. However I did get the chance to duet with Mariah, which, she has the most amazing voice, and both of our amazing voices somehow meshed together very well. Our song, which I hope will be a single in the future, Come to Me (Royalty) was a masterpiece, and one of my favorite moments on creating the album
O:Well didn't you get around the industry in a matter of days before releasing this album
B:Yes, I maybe very tired at times, but I'm only this young once so its okay
Beyonce's Lovelife?
O: Now Rumor has it Your not just adoring any of those people you mentioned, but maybe a certain rapper?
B: Hahaha, yes I have
O: Anyone in particular? Jay-Z, Kanye West, A$AP, Waka Flocka Flame?
B: (interrupts Oprah) Waka Flocka Flame, na na. (giggles)
O:Well did I mention a rapper your somewhat interested
B: I will tell u this, I'm not just interested, I'm invested and loving any moments we can get together
Beyonce's Preformances
O:Now I was impressed by your performance last Sunday of "Clutch Ya Man (Throne)" and the viewers responded very well
B: It feels really good to have the only Urban Single thus far on the market of mainly Pop music.
O:So how did you think of that performance?
B:I felt like I was doing my thing (Oprah and Beyonce share a laugh) Yeah I love getting my runs in the more soulful parts of the song, and then to bring it back to a more Hip-Hop grundy Chorus. It can really catch your attention off the street, and get a man to notice you doing you
Beyonce's Last comments
O: Do you have anything you like to share out to your fans or soon to be fans, because I can see that your a star in the making
B: Yes I would like to thank all of the support of the album. Whether its liking the theme to my Photoshoots, to the overall sound, and if your just straight up bopping to my latest single Clutch Ya Man (Throne), Thank you so much, and I wouldn't be here today if I didn't have dedicated fans like you all. Thank You.
O: Thank You Beyonce
B:Thank You Oprah
