i catched like 50% of the show, so i've some to watch now. i'm anxious bout how she did River Lea!
and wow the praises in here, that's amazing! she really handled that stage and GINORMOUS crowd, like the hosts talked about after the show. she's so atypical to the usual mega festival headliner, but with songs, a voice and personality like her, it's possible!
the crowd really seemed into it, i'm positively surprised, and the singalong on SLY, wow
even after she left stage and all!
i'm a bit dissapointed i must admit that:
*she didn't play guitar
*she didn't do more from 19
*she didn't do a new/other cover (like MSOB)
*she didn't invite any other artists on stage to duet. i was really hoping for that tbh
*also, i dont care for that version of SML, if she had to do it, it would be better with the studio or maybe a new version
but she did great, and atleast she did a new live song aswell as a song she hasn't done since 2011!
and her banter and connection with the audience
seeing her doing this so easily aswell as having songs that so many sing along to actually reminds me alot of Bruce Dickinson and Iron Maiden! i've seen them quite a few times actually and two of those times were at similar festivals (the biggest was in Germany with ~80k people in the audience). he also is great at bantering and also fire up the crowd and they have so many sing-along songs and how the crowd here sang to "someone like you" reminds of how we sing along to "fear of the dark" tbh, it's really massive! y'all should go see them, it's probably the best live band of all time!
so anyway, great work Adele! you did it, and with great result!
