Emily Eavis has explained why she booked Beyonce as a headliner for Glastonbury this year.
After the announcement last week (February 11) that the former Destiny’s Child singer was headlining the Somerset event, Eavis said she was keen to keep the festival as "diverse" as possible.
She told Glastonburyfestivals.co.uk: “We are really keen to keep the line-up as diverse as possible. It's always been that way. We really want the people who are the masters of their fields, and that's what she is.”
She added: “I went to see her live last year and was blown away by the might of the show. She has such soul, an amazing voice with an incredible, all-female band. She knows how to deliver live, and she packs a big punch – it's gonna explode!”
oops try again
and yes for the hbic of Glastonbury also agreeing that bey is the best performer
Erm no. Look at the first page, MrPeanut mentioned Bey first.
That only makes it worse. People came to argue for somebody they don't stan for. It shows that Beyonce is more widely perceived as the Best Performer of this Generation than Pink.
