Because we're fans of Katy and her music, and it's exciting to see how the final song turns out. Even if the song turns out to be largely the same, it will still be extremely exciting to see her perform it on the Grammys and to see it smash on radio and the Hot 100.

My guess is that the chorus goes on and on in the demo because it's a demo - that sort of thing happens a lot.
