I'm on my way to losing it all with exercise and healthy eating, have about five-ten pounds to go till my goal weight, i'm just wondering though - is it worth doing ab exercises until I've completely lost the weight from around my stomach? I know I wouldn't be able to have any abs show until I've gotten my body fat % to a certain point, but is it still worthwhile to be adding ab exercises to my usual cardio to speed up the weight loss process? (Plus would this help me to tone a bit as I'm losing?)
I do a few different cardio things but recently I injured my leg so I've just been doing HIIT on a bike about 5x per week.
Thanks!

Yeah, I would still do the ab exercises so as your body fat drops, they'll appear plus it's always a good thing to have a strong core.
5X a week for HIIT seems a bit much tho since it is really intense. You only really need to do a 3-4x a week for great results.

Can anybody explain to me what HIIT is? I've heard about it a lot and as seeing I run a lot, do you reckon I should consider doing that as well?

Just got a membership at golds gym last week and have been going consecutively for two weeks
Like running and cardio is so easy and I could do it for hours but once I start toning and lifting and stuff I want to kill myself after like 3 reps
And like the most I can lift without it being extra is like 30 lbs
Help

I went to grocery store and bought healthy food for breakfast lunch and dinner for a straight week. I went from 212 to 217lbs. Once I saw it bounce up, my heart jumped and I was so pissed off!!! I'm SCARED to eat over 1,000 calories knowing I might gain and have to start ALL OVER AGAIN!! Especially if it takes FOREVER to lose a pound, like a week I have the habit of weighing myself everyday in the morning to see if what I'm doing is working or not
But then again, I wasn't doing any cardio at the time, so maybe that's why? But I ate so healthy, I don't understand at all

do you lift weights?

if you're just starting out, 30 lbs is fine. in time, that will become too light for you and you'll go up. i'd say go up 5 lbs every 2-3 weeks.

I told my friend about protein whey and protein shakes and she said they had a lot of health risks, is she right?

Your legs will burn and you will breathe heavy after, but it works

Whew! Ran 10 miles today. 1 hour and 15 minutes! Gotta go faster next time
Also did that HIIP thing and multiple other muscle building exercises. I burnt 1006 calories during my run alone, I need to watch out that I don't lose too much weight because I actually want to build some muscle as well. I've done a lot of sit-ups, squats, crunches & push-ups though.

Ah right thank you!
I figured I should probably be incorporating ab exercises into it, but didn't wanna do it if it was completely pointless at this stage.
Yeah I wasn't sure if it was a bit much, but I just wanted to speed up the weight loss as fast as possible, and it seems to be working fairly well. Maybe i'll swap out a day or two of the HIIT and replace it with weights/ab stuff.
Thanks for the help!

If you drink more than 2 protein shakes a day then yeah but if you drink it as specified ~ either before or after you workout ~ you're fine. If you drink it without working out, it just makes you fat (lol) and makes your kidneys work harder so as long as you work out before or after you work out, it's fine.

I joined a gym a few weeks ago and my routine has been:
20 mins on the treadmill power walking on an incline
50 reps of hips/butt
50 reps of chest/arms
50 reps of abs
20 minutes on the treadmill running for as long as I can and then walking the rest
then on days where I don't do weight training I use the treadmill for an hour, alternating between power walking and running every 15 minutes
I'm 6'2" and weigh 185 right now, I was at 192 when I started at the gym bc my mom and sister told me I looked like I was gaining weight so I was like **** that. plus I'm wearing this for halloween so I gotta get this body right. my plan for now is to get BMI down a bit and put on some muscle weight, but I don't wanna be like RIPPED

I hope your weight loss doesn't stall cause for the amount of exercise you do and calories consume, it doesn't sound good. of course you'll lose weight in the beginning, but once you start lifting weights, you'll need to consume more calories. you don't wanna lose what muscle you have.

I ate 6 boiled eggs, 3 boiled chicken legs for breakfast/lunch or brunch whatever you call it
1 cup of Mexican fried rice and 2 more chicken legs, but cooked with some kind of sauce for dinner
I stepped on the scale and gained 4 lbs in one day!!!!
I didn't eat any sweets or drink any soda! Only 8 bottles of Dasani water (16.9 FL Oz)
I KNEW I should've stuck with my 1,000 calorie a day diet as I've mentioned before
I'm going to do a 40 minute cardio workout right now and HOPEFULLY loose all this food I ate
I ate too much damn protein I think, I'm gonna sit next to the toilet and throw up all this fat out

2000 calories is considered the normal intake for calories
And 1000 calories is nothing unless you trying to lose weight

Do you have some kind of gym buddy ? Like a guy or a girl that you talk to , and helps you out when you need a help ?
Because, I'm a Kristen Stewart type of friendly person and i don't talk to anybody and i feel like 70% of gym population has some kind of a gym buddy . Like I only say Hello at the reception when i need to check in , but when my foot steps in "working area " i just become introverted

So I've been going to the gym for about 6 weeks now, 2 times a week. Some of the exercises I don't seem to improve in at all. The pull and push exercises don't see any improvement at all even if though I feel my muscles burn and I have muscle ache for 2 days after. I'm kind of confused why I see no improvement.

You won't gain weight with 2000 calories though.
And 1000 calories is an unhealthy low amount, even when on a diet. The fact that you say you want to sit next to the toilet to throw up is kind of alarming honestly.
