Muslims back in the middle ages made massive advancements in algebra, medicine and astrology. This is because the quran actually encourages the pursuit of knowledge. While religion has caused a lot of problems it has also done plenty good for knowledge, culture, music, architecture, morals, etc. Anyone who tries denying that is clueless. I still agree that religion causes a lot of problems today.
