Animals is amazing. I find myself humming/whistling it at random times haha
The weird thing for me is though, it sounds so much better on the radio than through my earphones, maybe it's just meant to be listened at when you're not expecting it.
Oh, and yes! I'm really looking forward to Kaskade's new album.
When it comes to EDM, I'm mostly just into Trance.
Anyone into Markus Schulz/Dakota, W&W, Ashley Wallbridge, Armin Van Buuren, (Old) Tiësto, Paul Van Dyk and others?

Last weekend me and my good mate decided we're gonna try and bring trance back to the forefront lol watch out
Do you guys know if there's an article out there about DJs and their singing vocals? Like most of them have never sung their own songs before. Kaskade just started... Is there an article saying which DJs and producers are really good at singing and which ones suck?
^ 99% of DJs can't sing and cant' play music instruments. And that's OK
I hope Kaskade is doing it for the right reasons (because he believes he is the exception, and has actual vocal talent) and not because he thinks it's a fun thing to do or because he wants to artificially prop his resume with "singer" title
But I do agree with people who say that EDM (or at least "celebrity EDM") is too much DJ oriented and, as a result has suffered credibility issues - since a significant chunk of the music listening public considers DJs as glorified button-pushers and not real musicians.
So I welcome EDM artists who want to do music music (as in SING and/or PLAY instruments themselves) in fact I adore those - they are among my absolute faves: the Prodigy, Faithless, Lords of Acid, Daft Punk and STROMAE.

Yeah there's nothing wrong with DJs who can't sing or play instruments. Good for the ones who can, but the ones who cannot should not face the public scrutiny you described. Sure, DJing can be as easy as pushing a play button or as difficult as you wish to challenge yourself. And producing is hard work, just as hard as using organic instruments. It is a talent and a craft that I hope the non-EDM fans will accept sooner rather than later.
^ In order for that to happen the DJs themselves need to take their craft seriously - and that means for example not competing against each other on that stupid DJmag "top 100" ranking (there should not be a person-to-person competition of musicians - music is not a sport)
Instead the DJs could better promote their craft by letting a third party that has credibility organize those type of things - nominate and gives awards and things like that - and promote the industry (instead of the current system where the DJs themselves openly solicit for public votes conducted by some cheap magazine).
