I kind of feel like Sia's voice has deteriorated over time. Maybe not permanently but I do think that she has had some vocal wear over time. Especially after all the drinking/smoking/drugs she's done. There's a lot of cracks now in some high notes, and some of her belts sound really off.

Yep, a weathered-down soprano voice, just like Rihanna!

Sia's voice is deteriorating because she supports from her throat, her belts are off because she doesn't produce them healthy.

Rihanna in no sense of the word is a Soprano, at all
Rihanna isn't a soprano at all. It s not rocket science. IF you want to debate about this, give me a link where she phrased with a commendable agility above C#5 for more than 30 seconds.
Rihanna will continue to stay limited to the mezzo tessitura until she stops with the drug use, she's been sounding very dry and throaty as of late
She possesses all the characteristics of a light lyric soprano.
Oh I ain't even seen this ****!
That chorus says it all.
She possesses all the characteristics of a light-lyric soprano, and ALWAYS HAS!
Her voice began to darken around the Rated R era, but JUST a smidgeon!
Wow, she actually has quite a lovely voice. So strikingly unique and grating and electric. All my years of Beyonce stanning distracted me from her talent!
Whitney is a good example of what excessive drug use can do to the voice, she began to lose her top notes after the bodyguard era and she progressively transitioned from a spinto soprano to a lyric mezzo, the same can be applied to Rihanna however she hasn't lost her upper register yet, it's just not as accessible as it was before and anything below F3 is still mostly inaudible.
There are also many light lyric soprano's in contemporary music that rarely access their upper register, another good example would be JLo. Her tonal quality is that of a light lyric and her lower register is almost non existent.

!!! especially at the second paragraph. You can't let lack of training/talent/versatility deceive you!
A soprano is the highest female voice type with the highest tessitura (comfortable range) and brightest tonal quality (sound) of all female voices.
Regardless of voice type, 'lyric' refers to lighter-weighted voices with smaller volume capacities/less power and softer tonal quality - as opposed to 'dramatic' voices which are massively powerful and of substantial weight, often with a harsher sound. Lyric voices are incredibly common; most singers have lyric voices. Large dramatics are rare!
Lyric sopranos are usually divided into light-lyric sopranos and full-lyric sopranos. Light-lyric voices are VERY lightweight and relatively small and youthful/girly-sounding. Full-lyric sopranos are of medium weight and volume capacity and have a more mature sound to them.

I mean, if Rihanna got her voice together she'd have the same ease in the upper soprano tessitura as Ariana and probably with a bit more weight and volume added to it..

Regardless, she's 27 and too old to recover from her abuse not to mention her voice will deepen further with age naturally as all women do. I'm going from Rihanna Loud era on any previous recordings will be are useless as her voice is vastly different them then, Rihanna is an Mezzo and she has been a Mezzo since at least Loud and will continue to be one for the rest of her life. This girl reminds of Rihanna in a sense
Also I wouldn't call Rihanna talented, she's below mediocre technically but I guess a decent tonal singer as her tone which is quite pleasant and unique
Miley's also a Mezzo who I guess you could identify with Rihanna, just listen to her recent duet with Miley and you can hear that oddly good support in her lower register

Light lyric voices do have low notes below the average soprano tessitura though (Mariah and Ellie Goulding are good examples of light lyric soprano's with a lower extensions), they just can't carry any weight down there like heavier voices can. Even with the drug use she's still barely audible at F3 which is the lower end of the soprano passaggio, most mezzo's are well supported down to D3.
Rihanna is also incapable of belting a F4 like other mezzo's, her belting starts at around G#4 which is oddly just around a soprano's transition from chest to head voice. Her voice is indeed odd, it's a shame she's destroying it and slowly stripping it of its qualities.
