I would say that's the worst #1 of the year, but every song that has went to #1 this year has been bad, so yeah.
Nice to see Matisyahu doing well, though.

I have yet to hear "You're Beautiful" on the radio? Plz, that song is sooo overrated!!! I am actually very surprised that "Check On It" fell, as it is being played on the radio more than ever (usually on two stations at once...)!!! "Everytime We Touch" is following the similar path as "Listen To Your Heart." I am actually quite schocked at Aly & AJ's success, which you can tell has influenced TRL. I wonder wut kind of path they will follow? Probably something similar to Hilary Duff. I pretty surprised that Nick Lachey has a debut and that Mariah Carey continues to fall sooo fast? = (

It is great to see a non-urban influenced, pop song at No.1, even though the song is beyond old to me. - Beyonce's song only deserved 2 weeks at most at the the top spot because it was obvious a "trend" song like this one would eventually play out. - Sean Paul's "Temperature" is also played out so thank God that won't be hitting #1. - Mary J's "Be Without You" should have gone to No.1 but it's time is up and now she's releasing her destined to flop 2nd single, "Enough Cryin". - Natasha is still climbing and will probably go Top 5 with "Unwritten". Her album shot up alot as well so just as long as the following single choice is good, Natasha will only get bigger. - I just brought Ne-yo's album today...AWESOME ALBUM! The best album I brought since the fall season and it has ALOT of single potential, it's almost unbelievable. His single "So Sick" will now be released for digital downloading so it will shoot up next week and might actually reach No.1. - Cascada reaches the Top 10 with "Everytime We Touch", a dance song, without being a legend or the help of a ballad edit. This is the only *real* dance song to go Top 10 this millenium. - DFB's definitely a disposable Hip/Hop act but they sure are alot of fun, the track will go Top 10 next week. - Even though I've been upset with Busta for a bit now, I'm glad he released a quality Hip-Hop party track. - Keyshia is approaching the top 20 with "Love". If it does hit the top 20, it will be her first. - Kelly C. may not have another Top 10 with "Walk Away" on her hands but the track might be able to squeeze into the Top 20. - PCD are about to have yet another hit with their 3rd single, "Beep", once again, beating all the haters expectations that they were a one or two hit wonder. - Gwen Stefani seems to be peaking with "Crash". - Rihanna is about to enter the Top 50 with her new single "SOS". Once this song goes for digital downloads, it will shoot up the chart but exactly will it be released? - Prince has his highest charting single in years with the extremely hot "Black Sweat" which Im crazy for despite Prince lacking his original creativity. - I just bought Madonna's "Sorry" Maxi-Single/EP today and the remixes are extremely hot. I hope this song takes off on radio because it deserves to. - Nick Lachey has his first solo chart entry with "What's Left Of Me". Well deserved for a good song like that. - LL only manages to debut at #93 with the hot "Control Myself". I seriously hope this can do more.

Wow, Aly & A.J. jump 92-59! That's awesome.
The chart goes from C+ to B+ (I can't give it higher since COI, Yo and Grillz are still top 10)

Let's clarify that statement Ben. It is the worst number one of the decade. Like, if people want whiny mediocre thirtysomething crap, Bad Day is much better?

oh don't feel down Josh. Beyonce put up a good run and is at the 20 week mark. She's still got a lot of airplay so I expect 30-35 weeks total for COI.

No that would go to "Laffy Taffy"....
Why are you all hating on James Blunt? His song is the best #1 of the year so far and his song is the first non-hip hop/r&b song to hit #1 in over four years(besides A.I. people). It's a nice change from all the crap that has been #1 for the last few weeks...

I don't like this song that much, but I agree with you. And in it's mediocrity and all, "You're Beautiful" is miles better than Laffy Taffy, Check On It, and Gold Digger.

Mike, that last part doesn't resemble any English I know.
Luis, Gold Digger is a pop classic, and a ROTY nominee. Coincidentally, the other crappy ROTY nominees have been Where is the Love and Let's Get It Started! What a shocker!
Um, guy with Matishyu in the avatar - at least Laffy Taffy's fun to dance to. YB is sent straight from hell. Of all the British acts to crossover, why does he have to make it here?
