At the end of the day, yeah, people are making comparisons, but at least there's something to even compare it to - a new video. These comparisons on MTV will be generating publicity for the music video and the song. More people will be aware that it's coming out and more people will watch it when it premieres. Monsters included. Who will probably be all over ATRL tomorrow, dragging it to the pits of hell, even if it turns out to be the best video of her career. But it's the fifth video of her era, and Gaga only has 2.

You can search for similarities at every turn...



But at least we're getting a new music video, and it's probably not the last of the PRISM era.

I'd rather have 2 good videos than 4 terrible ones + 1 that's sleep-inducing. That's just me though

You don't understand what a good source is. It depends on the content. Different writers and users submit info so you can't judge a whole outlet. All of these funny things people post online or that become popular or become memes come from reddit. So it being a good "source" depends on what you're looking for. Not surprisingly, news stories have broken on reddit before they were actually ever reported by any news agency. This is because it is all user submitted.

Not only that, ARTPOP is Gaga's lowest score and PRISM is Katy's only album that has scored as an overall positive. Every Gaga album also outdoes every Katy album for GP rating. Safe to say we know who the critics and GP like more.
