OMG. Just listened to this for the first time ever. I know this has been said many times already, but this is seriously the most shameless Mariah impersonation I've ever heard.
From the staccato whining in the verses, to the whispered pre-chorus, the random belts ("stay by your side!"), the whispered backing vocals in the chorus and then her head voice adlibs during the rap and finally the whistle notes. Even her diction is quite similar to Mariah's
has grown on me lately, I love it!
Her voice is the best pop voice we have heard in the past five years.
