After the Diamonds World Tour, Rihanna takes a 6-month break from music. She visits her family in Barbados, spends time with Chris in LA, She takes piano lessons. Works on a few films and fashion ventures.
Next summer, she begins penning her next album. She awakens a new creative beast inside of her, and writes over 75 songs for inclusion on the album. No help, just her and her pen.
Early 2015: Rihanna's 8th album,
ISIS, is released. 14 tracks, a mixture of earthy world pop, edgy techno, and introspective ballads. The lead single, "Euphoria", a drum-heavy dance track spends 13 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. She dyes her hair navy blue in honor of her Rihanna Navy.
Grammys 2016: Rihanna wins 9 Grammys for ISIS.
