I really don't understand this line of thinking. An artist does not owe it to their fans to perform a song live just because it's on their album. Yes, by releasing the song they are now sharing it with their fans, but they are sharing it through their fans through that medium, there is no promise that they will do it through another one. Artists like to write things at times to let things go that they are holding on to, and by letting that out to the world they can feel somewhat free to it, but it's one thing to do that once in a studio, and it's another to do that every single night on a tour in front of thousands of people.
For those telling her to just suck it up: You do realize that she's only been out of rehab for two years(and only clean for one), right? She has a host of psychological problems stemming from her childhood that could be triggered if she's forced to perform these songs, that she's obviously not comfortable performing, on a daily basis. Maybe she'll get to a point where she can talk about her biological father or the things in those songs publicly and repeatedly, but she's obviously not there now, so I don't see why anyone would want to rush her, when it could be damaging to her health. Letting these emotions out in song in the studio is one of her first steps, not a fast-track to the last one. Just give her time, and let her get there when she's ready to.
