This really depends on what part of Canada you'd be talking about. It's so huge, and diverse.

Most Canadians are nice, but I've met my far share of rude people. Crime does exist here, but nowhere near the levels of most US cities.

The four major cities in Canada are Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary.

The 20+ club has 3 regions of Canada covered if you had any area in question you wanted to know more about

Hmmm.. not being from Canada, and going around Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto... I can say that Toronto and Ottawa are the most accessible. While Montreal has its advantages (being more European and having that old school look) I say it's downfall is the people. I really had a hard time communicating, even when I spoke a little french, while Toronto and Ottawa had me travelling around the city easily on minimal help. I like living in Ontario, it has everything you need. I can't say much about the west end though, since I never been there. People however do say that they are nicer (sans the Albertan's and their Texas-like mindset), and I definitely am a sucker for natural beauty, so living in British Columbia would also make me a happy camper. I know I would love to find a way to live there as well.
If I got a job in toronto vs vancouver, I have no idea which one I would pick... I assume the expenses would be about the same..

ps: hollywood, I am not saying Alberta is a bad province, I am only going by what people tell me so that's what I heard about alberta

First off, Alberta is a province not city.

Second off, its true. Many (but not all) Albertans are really conservative. Lots of racism, and homophobia. Calgary & Edmonton are slowly becoming much more liberal, and gay-friendly. Back in the day, it was all white people here. Now, the asian population has tripled (much to my delight) and its lot more diverse.

Though people are actually alot friendly in Calgary/Edmonton then they are in coastal BC. People there are rude as hell. Terrible drivers too.

and hmm.. thats why I don't think I am too eager to go to alberta.. though country guys do turn me on

BC looks amazing, but much of the people I have not heard
