Animal is still the best song in her discography. To me.
It's so loaded with meaning and passion for life and freedom of love and expression. It's just beautiful.
That's what makes it so amazing to me.
At first I thought it was overrated but I was really down one day and decided to give it a serious listen. I was amazed at the song's depth, words did not express how I felt actually, it was amazing.
I wish it were a single, not because it'd sell, but because the world deserves the song. It's way more empowering than any other song in the empowerment bandwagon
It's like the world is about to end, and you have an hour to let everything go and make the most of every second and minute remaining. That's always how I've interpreted "Animal". It's like this super mystical and ethereal piece of brilliance.
See this is what really bothers me about the Kesha hate. Even when she was seen as 'trashy' she still spread this message about love and wrote some incredible songs (Animal, the Harold Song, DWTIME etc..). I'm really glad that the GP is starting to get behind her somewhat and i can see that escalating if her new single is the right sound.
I always knew Warrior wasn't right, i mean even though musically it is a really good album it just feels to faked and forced in some spots (Out Alive, All that Matters, even Wonderland to some degree.) I really don't think she is working with Luke anymore because of how excited she seems and if she is then they must of come to some sort of happy conclusion and If her new album has the same amount of personality as Album yet shows how mature and grown up she has gotten I can see it being really well received by both critics and the GP. I really don't know what to expect from her tbh, I imagine some really old-school country/rock inspired ballads, some Folk infused dance tracks and some weird/trippy Lorde type mid-tempos - at least thats what I imagine her releasing.

I want her to do something totally left-field like a trip-hop country blend

Out Alive and All That Matters may sound generic but they're far from faked and forced. The closest to faked and forced tracks are Warrior, Wherever You Are, Die Young and Crazy Kids, let's be real. I'm not saying they're bad, but that's kind of obvious.

While I agree with these ones as well there is no denying that All That Matters and Out Alive were both unispired and written to fill up the record that Luke wanted.
I feel as though Kesha genuinely liked Crazy Kids, however the verses still ruin the song for me as they once again seem like a choice that Luke wanted to go with.
lol I remember when Thomasuxx came on here to announce that Crazy Kids was the next single and pretty much everyone was in agreement that it was a good choice. How things change

Crazy Kids would of slayed if it had a that folk/guitar driven sound throughout the song instead of the just the chorus - I mean the the chorus is one of the catchiest that she has ever written.

C'mon strikes me as the type of song Kesha would of loved to have on A+C but it didnt really belong on Warrior, however it is true ear candy and remains one of my favourites from the record.

Yeah, I'm not saying I dislike Crazy Kids, it's just the general consensus seems to be negative overall. It was definitely a favourite from the get go for me although I think I'm in the minority who, much like Supernatural too, likes the verses more than the chorus
C'mon wouldn't even have fit well on Animal or Cannibal. It has no personality at all to it and sounds completely forced. I personally blame Bonnie McKee more than Ke$ha for this mess tho

!!!!!
I can't express how much I agree with that.
And hi B2R4D, nice to have you back every once in a while.
I liked your energy and passion but ... the song choice wasn't great.

It's okay you made mistakes, which is okay. We all do. What's great is that you realized that how you've been acting was wrong and you decided to change. I'm proud of you!! I'm sorry you're having family problems. You can talk to me about it if you want or you could talk to someone else about it that you trust.
Thank you And I'd rather not talk about it.
I'm trying to leave it behind me once I leave for college.

You guys liked it?
I think I was on Twitter at the time but I kind of wanted pretty much any other track than Crazy Kids.
Maybe it was because it got revealed that Crazy Kids was forced?

That actually fits a lot better than ToY. Nice job!
I've always thought you were amazing at graphic design. Are you?

All of This
It's about letting go of all your inhibitions and being brave wild and reckless
It may not be the best lyrically or have the most amazing production
But it captures her authentic vision and zest for life. its her incarnate
Just Magic

But Warrior is very Kesha though. At least lyrically

Not really, it's a half hearted attempt at recreating Animal lyrically. Warrior was last to be written / finished since she was running out of time to get the album done so it just comes across as something she was forced to spew out and not something she was excited about.
Although I will admit that 'Animals you ready to fight' is my favourite lyric on the album
