I think they're just saving up promo spots for the second single, which will probably be released in early September or late August, much closer to the album release. I hope she at the very least performs GFY at the VMA's though, all she did for THWWIW was perform at the AMA's & it ended up peaking at #6, with a VMA performance this could make it even higher and become her first top 5.

Imo radio will start to drop it in two weeks unless the label push it. VMA can be too late for a new peak. But at least will push sales.

I feel like she should have done it the taylor way.
That is promoting the 1st single so well so that it creates hype for the album and then the 2nd single easily takes off with the album hype
