Yeah some of the songs remind me of it. Zendaya and Ciara both have self titled albums, the same inspirations, similar vocal ranges and breathy voices, and dance similarly. I don't know why people have made the connection before.

Zendaya has about the same range as Ciara and she flirts more with the higher notes Ciara is afraid to touch. Zendaya has been doing runs for the longest, Ciara just started doing runs. Let's not.

I think they're both mezzo soprano.
They both also do mostly hip hop choreography. Ciara does more twerking/booty popping than Zendaya.
I give Zendaya credit for dancing, she's great, but vocally... her voice sounds like it's stuck inside her chest it works for Ci because her voice is soft, sensual, and the way she sings her songs make it great, especially with songs like BP or Promise but it doesn't work for Zendaya at all
