despite its "fairly simple" production compared to their other songs, I feel like this is one of their best singles to date.
Not too much, not too little.

R666 is such a weird song. I never clicked with it. I hated it on first listen but then KINDA got used to it after the fifteenth listen/watching live performances, but it's the one title track I don't use by them. The only good bit is the start of the verses and part of the pre-chorus, but everything else is a mess
Even the MV/concept visuals are awful. It kills me THAT was selected as Pink Bible's feature track

Yaaas!!!
I also really liked Hot Summer. It was nice and catchy and just a really great pop song.

I was sort of the same, like I thought it was a nice song but nothing really special.
But after many listens, the way it's structured, the line distribution, the subtle production quirks, etc all make it their greatest. It's definitely a grower and it's so odd amongst the rest of their title tracks that I understand why people didn't really click with it.
The RPPP video was my favourite from f(x) tbh until "Red Light" just destroyed all of their MVs.

I loved it from the start. The instrumentation just slayed me for some reason.

I do like the quirks (like the guy in the background going "wooo!" before the verses) but they're really nothing too special for me to fall in love with it. The song never goes anywhere. Even the bridge, the ONE chance for something different.... and it's so one note
The visuals are cute, but the sets feel like Electric Shock leftovers painted orange/white.
The outfits are cute too, but nothing to gag over in comparison to their previous concepts.
The choreography is boring as hell
Such a lacklustre title track.
My favourite video from them has to be Hot Summer. They all look AMAZING, especially Krystal in her red uniform/hat. The sets are so beautiful and colorful. Like the inside of the pink, zebra-striped tank, which sounds so ridiculous but is amazing. The choreography is great (Amber's part slays) and the end when they're "outside" and everyone's doing the choreo while Krystal ad-libs.... I FEEL IT IN THE AIR

It's so interesting to me how we perceive music and visuals differently because to me, RPPP goes everywhere and more.
"Hot Summer" is a great video, too. I watch it regularly.
It's a nice escape because it's the middle of winter here so it's grey and drab, but the video is so colourful and bright, it's great.
