i like a lot of Anti but i just don't sense much conviction from most of these songs; they don't feel like surefire choices that she would stand by with all of her soul, they just feel like the random pile of songs that she decided to roll the dice with and get the album over with. i feel like the bulk of them were recorded in the past month/couple weeks and if she didn't have the impending tour deadline about to crash upon her, the album probably would have morphed into something else thereafter and this iteration would have been scrapped just like the 5 other versions of this album that obviously existed. she finally ran out of time and this was the wad she blew when the bell rang.
am very genuinely curious to know what happened to "a night," "promised," etc. also curious to know the reasons why FFS, AO, and BBHMM didn't make it (i hated the former to so i don't really care, just curious)

Can you just say what you liked or didn't like on this album instead of this meaningless 'analysis'
cant wait to hear live vids of 'higher' on the anti tour. my guess is that she'll hold the mic towards the audience for them to sing along while she "feels the music" with her eyes closed, foot stamping, and neck tilted back for the full 2 mins of the song, like she does when she needs to dodge all her big notes in her songs
