Solid marks for stressing and meter. As to be expected from a PH finalist.

Essentially a post-estrangement piece, I enjoy your twist on the concept focusing on steps to better yourself, rather than dwelling on the feelings resulting from the failed relationship.

A little dull for me personally, as I'm more interested in a well-executed examination of the immediate messy bits after estrangement. I'm sure there are others who enjoy the learning process, however. It's all subjective. I want something more extreme in the future, that's all.

I see what you mean in the last part, but the context is rather current and autobiographical of my life at the moment, which is why I wrote such a song. I've kinda already wrote about all those other parts sadly

Moonlight: SLAY ME BITCH!!!! This is giving me Tattooed Heart teas, except she’s talking about getting dicked down. Tbh, this is the type of music that Ari excels at, and this song is proof of that.

Dangerous Woman: If I’m being quiet honest, this song doesn’t slay me as hard as it did when I first heard it. It’s still a really great song, and the last chorus slays, but it just doesn’t hit me as hard anymore.

Be Alright: I was never as hyped up to hear this song like everyone else, but I still was excited to hear what the full versions sounded like. Then she released it, and I was super letdown. The bass just doesn’t hit hard enough and the structure of the song really turns me off. Could’ve been good, but it’s not.

Into You: Now THIS is a BOP!! The chorus is something else, and the pre-chorus is magical. And the opening line, “I’m so into you, I can barely breathe”, ****ing slays! The bridge is the best part tho, and the last chorus, with the bg vocals, is ****ing amazing. Glad this is the second single, hopefully radio doesn’t let it flop.

Side to Side: Wasn’t really played the first time I heard it tbh. But it is definitely a bop and it’s growing on me very quickly, so that’s a great sign. The refrain before Nicki goes into her verse is soooooo good, and I’m living for her saying that Ariana runs pop. Ha taste >>>

Let Me Love You: Another song that has yet to hit me, but like I said earlier, it’s starting to grow on me. I think what really throws me off is the chorus. It’s extremely bland and so repetitive to the point that all I wanna do is skip to the next track. One thing that surprised me was Wayne’s verse. Normally I would edit his verses out (or not listen to this song), but he really slayed here.

Greedy: This song is extremely overrated already, but I kinda understand why. The production is next level and her vocals ****ing shine. Plus the chorus is extremely infectious and the 2nd half of the chorus SLAYS. The background vocals on this songs tho >>>>

Leave Me Lonely: What the **** did they do to this song? Why does she sound like a 12 year old girl? And the way she sings the pre-chorus is so annoying and really unnecessary. Her belts are extremely thin, and her voice lacks the emotion it has when she sings this live. I’m honestly regretting listening to the live version before listening to this version, cause it ***** all over it.

I do have to commend you on having the most interesting rhyme scheme and meter this round, though. The ABCDABCD rhyme scheme of the first verse mixed with your unique flow made the song fun to read as long as I ignored the generic lyrics.

Welp, at least there was something positive said about it

I had to look up what vagrant meant because I'm an uncultured swine! Cute word. Did I like it? Not really. Overall the entry was nice, though. Despite the few meter issues, this song painted striking images and told a story well. The repetition of the titular line proved effective as well. The cur-sed was kind of ugly, but it's not the worst thing I've seen (1-2-3-4 Osmosis!). There were a lot of forced rhymes as well (passive hound was not a good choice of words at all). There was very little to be emotionally connected with personally but I did get emotion from it, if that makes sense. You painted the vagrant's isolation well. You definitely have one of the most unique styles so keep that up. Oh, and this gave me Kingdom Bells teas settings and atmosphere wise.

I'm sure the judges said the same thing last season when it came to relating emotionally to my entries. I'm not surprised about the meter being **** as well because I paid zero attention to it this round because I've been super busy!

Some of the language here didn't work. "Dull bones" doesn't make sense, "Regal king" was redundant, not sure why you had to include "passive hound," and I wasn't a fan of "cur-sed." In contrast, "flesh jeweled" was nice, as was "The sky littered in ashen tones." You're kinda serving Björk with lines like those! As for the challenge itself, I think you did an okay job with it, but I think you wrote more of a short (a little poem-y) song than an actual outro.

At face value, this reads well as an outro. I like how you chose to begin your song at the end of a story, and even by telling the end you can tell what happens in the beginning. I could feel the emotion in your song, but I felt like it would have been stronger with more unique imagery. This feels like a darker version of the Prodigal Son parable in the Bible, and had you been more descriptive in a less generic way or had you tied it in with a familiar story (it could fit in with a lot of ancient poems, epics, or scriptures) it would have been stronger. There were two awkward lines as well; the hound line which could have been worded better, and the last line. Especially for an outro having a week ending line is a bad sign and severely weakens your song. It is clear throughout the song that the vagrant is alone, and as I told fefe the word “alone” seems generic and weak without being coupled with a stronger concept. Last season you had some of the most original, thought provoking pieces of the season and I’d love to see you return to that style in the future. In addition, try to experiment with structure a bit more as this was fairly safe.
