I HAVE MY BOX OF KLEENEX! READY TO GO BUY TO 25!!!!!
ABOUT TO LISTEN TO 25. ME WHEN I'M FINISHED:
Anyway, people are too caught up in the story of its success for any backlash right now, but it will come in a few years once they're able to objectively look back at the sales figures vs the mediocrity of the album.

Basically Adele (and I guess Beyoncé in that sense) have created cultures in which you can profit monetarily (with hits to websites, reviews) and socially (posting status about listening to them, etc.).
Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I guess that's the result when power is attached to your name?
Cause I remember Gaga had the same kind of fan fare surrounding her back in the day. Then she became less profitably, articles with her name in the headlines started getting less traction and it especially became socially awkward to like her given her shift in image.
It really boils down to how can I profit off of this artist.
