it's interesting how lee or her lawyer didn't say that she was under scathachs spell when she killed monet because there is footage of the witch giving her the heart. in the AHS universe probably noone takes witchcraft seriously.

also, Ryan said the ending of Roanoke lays the pipe for future seasons.
the last minute is basically the colonists showing up to kill the police and news reporters.
if Return To Roanoke didn't make it obvious to the public that ghost exists, the following mass murder will.

I feel like the only seasons that ended a little bit open/cliffhangerish are Murder House and Roanoke. I'm interested to see if future seasons have plot lines that pick up from there.

ROANOKE Pro & Contra list:

Pro:
- Different innovative filming style (Documentary, Found Footage)
- Adina Porter being used as the break out star of the season even when not being main cast
- The surprising returns of many AHS alumnis like Frances Conroy, Taissa Farmiga or Leslie Jordan
- Kathy Bates appearing in her strongest role(s) yet
- Many gruesome scenes that were definately more the term horror than in previous seasons (disemboweling scenes, cleaver in head, cannibalistic stuff, etc...)
- Interesting backstories on the Colony, the Nurses, the Chens and most of all Edward Mott
- Great scary atmosphere with a house standing alone in the woods or the Polk farm
- The links to past seasons is still present (Piggy Man from Murder House, Edward Mott being the ancestor of the Motts in Freak Show, Lana Winters)
- Strong performance of the episodes throughout the season which wasn't the case with past seasons
- Roanoke being a surprise season without or misleading promo made it a standout

Con:
- Lots of bad accents used on characters (Sarah Paulson as Audrey Tindall, Wes Bentley as Ambrose, etc...)
- At times confusing to keep up with the real and fake Shelby, Matt, Lee, etc...
- The underuse of certain actors (Evan Peters, Cheyenne Jackson,...) that were credited as main cast while other characters appeared in more episodes (Adina Porter, Lady Gaga,...)
- Plotholes as they usually appear on AHS (what's up with Scáthach and where are the ghosts of Shelby & Co.?)
- No to less build on characters like Shelby, Matt or Audrey as the focus was on Lee most of the time
- Only 10 episodes and 40 minutes per episode in general seemed short for the usual lengthy other seasons
- The missing main titles sequence
- Sarah Paulson being constantly in our eyes for all 10 episodes, owning the most screentime
- The characters were most of the time unlikeable (Rory, Dominic, Sidney, also Audrey at times)
- The ending wasn't the worst but felt unsatisfied

Roanoke was good, but I hope next season the show will be back to it's original format. I'm still kind of annoyed that there wasn't a title sequence this season.

What do you guys think next season will be? I don't know if they were doing hints this season and I'm kind of glad that they weren't because that makes people over analyze everything in the show, but I think in episode 5 when Flora was flipping through the tv channels in the hotel room there was a video of a moon landing or something on one of the channels or the video of the waves could've been a hint.

Last season I guessed that season 6 was going to be either Prison or Colony and was kind of right with colony. I don't really have any idea what next season is going to be though. Hopefully the theme actually gets revealed next Spring like Ryan said.

This annoys me so much! The witches coming out back in coven was reduced to a CNN documentary or something (according with Liz during Hotel) and now THIS! After seeing all the footage, after being proved that the entire cast and the producers of the show are DEAD, after those 3 kids were murdered on live broadcast to the world, people still think that wasn't real at all!?

Lee getting away with all of her killing based on being high!? So if I shoot up some heroine a start killing I'm not going to jail!?

It was amazing until the twist Im sorry but it went terrible!!
