Taylor Swift on GMA

Taylor Swift has solidified her spot as one of the leading ladies in music today. With numerous number one albums and with multiple number one singles (six of those actually) it seems as if there's no stopping the singer-songwriter. The singer has been busy across in the world in Asia where she's currently on her Electric Princess Tour which has already grossed over twenty million dollars, quickly making it's way to becoming Swift's most successful tour. Taylor Swift took a break from her sold out stadium tour to fly out to New York City where she stopped by Good Morning America, where she just was last week with Zendaya promoting their song 'Gunshots' which is the current number one single on the singles chart. Swift was interviewed and also took part in Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series. Swift performed four songs for the concert series, two new songs from her extended play 'Coven 13' which also debuted at number one for the singer and two previous hits that the fans all were guaranteed to know. Setlist was 'Gunshots','Minds Interrupted','Swarovski','I Knew You Were Trouble'. Taylor Swift was also interviewed about her extended play (Coven 13) and her upcoming seventh studio album.

We want to first congratulate you on your number one single and album. You did it simultaneously for a third time
I heard I did. That's absolutely crazy but amazing too. I'm really happy by the response and I want to say thank you for all those who went out to purchase it.

Your extended play has been a success. Do you have any other plans for it?
Actually, I'm not sure. I've debated, actually no, I've said I was going to release a final single from it but my next album is coming along fast so that might change. But for now a single from it is planned but that's for now. A lot can change from here to Sunday.

Your seventh studio album isn't it? How does it feel to be approaching that tenth album mark almost?
Kind of weird honestly. I feel like I'm getting old. All that aside, I've very thankful to even be on my seventh album. Some people barely get to their second and I'm at number seven. I'm really thankful for my labels and management who helped me have a career with such longevity.

Who or what served as inspiration for your next record?
Definitely artists like Blondie, The Bee Gees, Donna Summer, and more. There's even some Beyoncé influences in there. Giorgio Moroder greatly too.

Have you decided on a lead single for it yet?
Actually no, I haven't I think we're narrowing down to a few choices. There's a song on the record called 'Heart Wreck' that's a really big song. That's a strong song that could be a single.

So is the album going to be disco?
Mostly yes but there are going to be a few rock influences in there too.

When can we expect your Electric Princess Tour in North America?
In the next month or two. I will not leave you guys hanging for too long, I promise.

Lastly, what do you think about all the drama in the industry right now between females?
We are grown women and I think we're all old enough to make our own decisions. Either good or bad we can all own up to them at some point. What they decide to do is up to them. But I think we all should be supportive of each other and I think really we are underneath it all in a way. I try to be as supportive to other artists as I can now. I haven't always been in my past I must admit.

-I'm currently seeing Cristiano Ronaldo, the relationship is kinda new and I don't know where it's going but I like him. He's a really good guy and he's fun to be around so I'll have to see where it goes, if it goes somewhere more serious.. I'm open for it, right now though I think I'm happy with where I am. I'm not looking for something super serious at the moment because I have a lot going on in the upcoming weeks.

On the new album
-The new album is called "American Dream" and it's out July 13th. I'm stoked about the release because it's really my personal favorite album and it's just really good and I can't wait for all my fans to have their own copy of it. It's just such a fun and sexy album, and the music like the actual beats are so good, I worked with the best producers in the business to make the best music possible. Also for the fans, the bonus track for the iTunes version is "Rebellion" which I know a lot of fans want to hear in full.

On her upcoming tour
-The Naughty Girl tour is gonna be amazing, it's gonna be a huge party from start to finish. The stage is huge and there's so many special effects going on and tons of expensive props and costumes for the show. It's designed as a stadium tour so the stage is really big and there's gonna be tons of space for me to move around and there's so many places for the fans that are really close to the stage since it's so big, so a lot of the fans will be able to get really close to me. Rita Ora will be opening every show but I'll also have Céline Dion and Marina & The Diamonds for a bunch of the shows. It's gonna be such a blast and I just wanna make sure that all my fans have a great time at the show and I definitely wont disappoint. I've been rehearsing for months for this tour and it's gonna be the biggest production I've ever had with the biggest audiences I've ever had.

On her hot new single
-It's just a fun song about telling a guy or girl to give it their best shot. You know I'm hard to get and you're gonna need to do better than that if you want me. I feel like people can relate because sometimes it sucks when you get treated like you're worthless and the song is just like I'm not worthless, I'm hot and I know it.. and if you want me, you're gonna need to do better than all the rest of the guys/girls that want me. You gotta give it your all when you're trying to get a girl like me and thats what the song is about! I'm so happy to see people relating to it and I'm happy that my fans like it.

Reborn Tour Day 1

Kicking off the first day of her tour, Azealia Banks performed in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre for her Reborn Tour. A promo tour for the album, tickets were soldout within hours before the tour. Announced just yesterday, the tour has completely soldout and questions on adding more dates are arising, however most of them have been shot down by her label.

Controversial, during the encore for her performance of Vibes, Azealia Banks got a picture of Rita Ora and drew a penis on her face while singing the lyrics to Banks' number one smash. Not stopping there, Azealia then proceeded to roll weed up with Rita's picture and smoke her blunt made of Rita's face on stage. With the crowd applauding, it seemed the audience was not let down by Azealia's stage antics. Reviews for the promo tour have stated it as intimate and fun.

Bonnie McKee continues promotion of her debut EP 'Young Love' and lead single "Smile" by securing a major promotional deal with Apple.

Sphinx Records and Apple have been in talks for the support of Bonnie's new EP 'Young Love', as well as the smash hit single "Smile", for some time now. Finally today details have been revealed of just what is in store for the promotion.

Bonnie McKee's debut EP 'Young Love' and single "Smile" have been allowed to occupy each and every banner in the iTunes Store worldwide for the rest of the week, something singer Beyoncé did with the surprise release of her self-titled album last year. 'Young Love' has also been pinned to the "New and Noteworthy" section, as has "Smile" with 'Songs to Watch'.

But that's not where it stops! Bonnie McKee is also the new face for the iPhone 6, which will begin promotion soon. Bonnie's song "Smile" will be featured in the commercials for the new phone, as well as her EP 'Young Love' being selected and played to demonstrate the new easy-to-use music technology. For now, Bonnie has posters and cardboard cut-outs of herself being sent directly to Apple stores around the world with the slogan, "The new iPhone 6... now that's something to smile about!"

You've had the most success for a female popstar in the past year. It's safe to say you're the biggest popstar in the world right now? When you reflect on your statistics and sales, how do you feel?

I feel proud. Not really much because of all the money I get from it but proud because I was able to sell records. Selling albums is really big challenge and creating supply and demand has become such a struggle for artists now. I wish there was a tutorial on how to that way the music can get back in the state it was. But that's difficult now with streaming.

Your upcoming seventh studio album is set for release soon. What are we going to be able to get from this record?
A really really strong sense of disco. A major throwback really. The songs I recorded for it are nothing like anything I've sang, written, or produced before. It's nothing like the stuff on the radio either. Everything about the record is pretty strong in all departments. I can say it's even innovative.

Can you give us a rating out of 100?
Personally I would say uh… actually I'll say an eight nine. An eight nine is pretty realistic I think.

Give us a few titles from it?
'Heart Wreck', 'Manhattan Girls', and hmmm 'Danger'. That's all I'm giving.

What are some of your major influences?
For this record especially Donna Summer. I studied her sound and event contacted some of her producers to really find out how I would be able to create a new but reminiscent sound of disco. I was lucky enough to work with Giorgio Moroder for the record along with Pete Belloette who really helped me out.

What are some of your favorite artists out right now?
I really really love Charli XCX, she's amazing to work with, she's an amazing writer. Namie Amuro, stage legend. I love her as an artist and a person. I also adore miss American Dream Britney and I love me some chocolate too. I love Azealia.

Is there a love interest on your horizon?
There is. I've learned after my last relationship that things are better if they're kept out of the media so I think it's smart that I do that for awhile you know? But there's definitely someone special in my life. He's great.

Adventure Time Episode Featuring Marina & The Diamonds and 'Where The Diamonds Grow" Airs

Marina & The Diamonds and Adventure Time may be an odd pairing at face value, but when you think about it, it's the perfect crossover. The audiences for both consist of the internet generation's finest and most addicted. Marina stars in the musical episode, titled "Where The Diamonds Grow" as homage to Marina's song, as The Cupcake Princess. The plot of the episode revolves around the discovery of an underground mine civilizations discovery. The cast of Adventure Time sing original songs throughout the episode, though the best song sung of the evening is a duet version of Where The Diamonds Grow sung by Marina and Finn The Human. A ukulele backs the two to make a beautiful rendition of an already beautiful song. The episode received much attention from social media, with the hashtag #MarinaOnAT trending for the length of the episode and a few hours after the episode aired.

Azealia Has Nip Slip at KCA's

The controversial hot new rapper, Azealia Banks, recently had an uh-oh at the Kid's Choice Awards just today. Aired live on TV on Nickelodeon, the crowd was shocked when Azealia Banks was performing Paradiso and one of the straps to her bathing suits fell off to reveal her nipple that everyone was staring at. However, despite the controversy, unlike what happened to Janet, the response to this was overwhelmingly positive. Parents commented on the incident saying "Wow! I never wanted to show my kids what boobs were because I felt it would be awkward but this helped me greatly! Thanks Azealia!" Nickelodeon is currently reairing the performance without the nipslip, skipping over that portion. Despite this, videos of what happened live are covering the internet.

For Azealia's performance, she was wearing a one piece bathing suit with a gold ring in the center. Beige colored and not revealing with tie on straps, Azealia was looking gorgeous in this Dolce original swimsuit. Along with this, Azealia had a sixty's style beehive hairstyle which towered high and delicately placed on her head. With her high black hair and haute couture bathing suit, Azealia topped the look off with white pumps and white Miu Miu sunglasses from their 2014 collection. The stage Azealia performed on was covered with beach gear. Each woman on stage was wearing matching bathing suits and had on 60s attire. The theme for Azealia's performance of Paradiso was "fun in the sun back in 1967" to help the illusion of being in the 60s, Nickelodeon had set a filter for the performance in an old time-y sepia tone. Complete with the 60s sound radio voice introducing her, this performance was truly a blast from the past.

At the start of the performance, The stage is covered with women all laying in lawn chairs as the radio host introduces Azealia onto the stage. Azealia then stands on top of a stair case with a beach towel flung over her shoulder as she raps her verse to Spitfire with the guitars and pianos giving it a 60s beach vibe tune. The dancers also served as background singers, each doing "yeah yeah yeahs" and "oh oh ohs" as Azealia performed. After the quick reciting of Spitfire, the real fun began when it was time to perform Paradiso. Azealia ran to the front of the stage and began rapping Paradiso to the little children clapping and rapping along. With her dancers behind her moving along to the 5 minute song, Azealia was owning the stage and taking up every moment. All was good until Azealia got to the last chorus of the song when she bent down to the fans and one of the children grabbed her top and tore it, revealing her breast to the public. However, since Azealia loves children, she kept performing and just ran backstage real quick and came back with a jacket on. The overall response for the performance was positive and one little girl even said "wow now I know what boobs look like!" Critics have said that the wardrobe malfunction helped the public come to realize skin isn't all that bad. Christian groups have praised Azealia for helping them become comfortable with their breasts from her performance of Paradiso.

Zedd was on Kimmel tonight to be interviewed and to perform his new single "Temple" with Lady Gaga.

The interview included such topics as his current single, the semi-success of his last single, his new album, and other collaborations. It can be found below.

Kimmel: Everyone, our next guest is a major producer and songwriter. He has a top 10 hit on the Billboard 100 as well as numerous successful works. He currently has two singles from his upcoming album out. It's Zedd!

[Audience cheers as Zedd walks to his seat.]

Kimmel: Welcome back to the show, Zedd.

Zedd: Thank you, Jimmy.

Kimmel: So, your new single... it's called "Temple," right?

Zedd: Yep, and it has Lady Gaga on it.

Kimmel: How well has it been doing?

Zedd: Not as well as "Slay." It reached number one on iTunes in 57 minutes, which isn't too bad. It's been moving around in the top 10 ever since, but is starting to steadily increase back towards the top spot.

Kimmel: "Slay" reached number one in 29 minutes, right?

Zedd: Yep.

Kimmel: That's pretty impressive and hard to top. So, about "Temple," when is the music video coming out?

Zedd:It should be out in the next few days. The audio and lyric video are already on my Vevo channel.

Kimmel: What's the music video going to be like?

Zedd: Basically, it's going to be set at a rave in a Hindu-like temple on a mountain. I shouldn't reveal any more, wait for the video to find out! [Chuckles.]

Kimmel: "Temple" was originally planned to be on Gaga's album ARTPOP, right?

Zedd: Yeah, but it didn't make the final cut. She then put it on Volume 2 of ARTPOP, which went unreleased. So, we decided to include it on my new album.

Kimmel: About your new album... It's called Serenity, and it's coming out next week, correct?

Zedd: Yep. It's going to feature "Slay" and "Temple" as well as other artists such as Foxes, Ellie Goulding, Britney Spears, and more. The final track listing should be revealed sometime this week.

Kimmel: Are you exploring any new genres with this album?

Zedd: Yes, I'm bringing in things such as folk, dubstep, trance, happy hardcore. Basically, it's a mix of genres. The singles so far do not represent the album as a whole.

Kimmel: I can't wait! Also, about your collaboration with Rihanna. Is it going to be a single or not?

Zedd: Haha, everyone keeps asking me that! Truth is, I have no idea. It's not my song, it's Rihanna's. I have no say in what becomes a single. A lot of people seem to want it, so maybe she'll give in.

Kimmel: Well, it's time to cut to commercial. Everyone, Zedd's new single "Temple" is available on iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon right now! His new album Serenity is coming out on July 15th!

The performance of "Temple" began with the inside of a temple. Lady Gaga is crawling her way to the middle of the stage, dressed in a a long, white, Hindu-inspired dress. Once she reached center stage, she struggled to get up. Once she was standing on her two feet, she looked around. Zedd rose from the stage behind Gaga with his DJ deck and keyboard. She is startled and quickly turns around, facing Zedd. He begins playing the song.

Gaga starts singing the first verse as the dancers crawl onto the stage. As the chorus begins, the dancers and Gaga start doing the chorus choreography. She sings the lines, "Come inside, worship all of me, tonight I'm your temple, worship me." She then pushes all her dancers aside and starts singing the second verse. The chorus comes back, and the same choreography is performed. Just prior to the bridge, Gaga collapses and her dancers carry her to the DJ booth and tear off her dress. She is now just wearing a white bikini. Zedd, after looking at what was going on, knows the perfect cure for Gaga. He starts playing the track again, with an extended bridge. This revives Gaga and she commences singing her powerhouse vocals right away, while her dancers get her back on her two feet. The final chorus and outro have Gaga being carried around by her dancers and smearing multi-colored paint on her body and bikini. The song ends and Gaga is set down on her own feet.

The audience cheers and gives Zedd and Gaga a standing ovation as Kimmel comes to remind everyone that "Temple" is out on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play right now, and that Serenity, Zedd's new album, will be coming out on July 15th.
