How could anyone be disappointed so far? We have a mounting conflict, dynamic characters, and terrifying murder sequences. We have seen nothing to suggest this is already a bad season.
It's great, but it's not bringing in that horror aspect that Asylum had (not yet, at least). This season isn't really scary to me. But that's just my personal opinion. People are scared by different things. I just so happen to not be scared by clowns, or anything else that this season has shown so far.

I thought Asylum was more disturbing than anything. IMO, Freak Show has been more terrifying than any of the other seasons were up to this point.
This is on par with Asylum's scary, but I don't really call any season of American Horror Story truly scary, they're more twisted and sick and gory than scary.
