GaGa is notorious for doing stuff like that. Randomly tweeting new lyrics completely out of context or unveiling stuff mere hours after other female artists debut big things. It's weird.

Katy will win in the long run. Gaga has a bigger fan base, but the problem with that is that fan bases keep the artist on top for a few days but will fall soon after. Katy fortunately has the general public on her side.

This is very true plus Katy is a radio darling. I think Gaga's fan base has dropped a bit though.
It's mostly just her first sales, Roar's gonna rebound in the long run imo and the other song is most likely gonna fizzle out quickly.
on another note: i'm still annoyed how applause suddenly "leaked" and now it's all ready and available on itunes the same day as Roar, not that i'm surprised but it's extremely shady and unprofessional but then again it's a competition... they're gonna do no matter what it takes to come on top.

She did. Reminds me just the teensiest, tiniest, most subatomic bit of those kids in grade school who would do outrageous stuff every time the attention wasn't on them. But whatevs, I guess!

This is way better then "Applause" it sounds epic in the production.
We are coming into fall.... and while "Applause" is ok it sounds dated in production and taylored to an older gay club audience. Not sure how well that will do at pop.That limits its potential.
