Venus is looking like vintage V tbh. If she stays healthy I could see another SF here, potentially with Serena

Well both Serena and Venus are playin today, so they're in the same half of the draw. Na played yesterday so she wouldn't meet either sister until the final

Kerber next. Angie wants to complete the set. She's already beaten V on Clay and Grass this year.

Klara can play well in patches. The match against Sharapova was horrible, I think Maria would have walked all over her under better playing conditions.

I don't think she can, but it would be foolish to write her off. I think she'll play some good matches here and there, but it's going to be difficult for her to play at a high level consistently. We've seen that already this year.

She's beaten V on grass? ...well then it's gonna be tough. Honesty I'd give the slight edge to Venus because Kerber's fitness isn't too great (Li's match with her is the 1st that comes to mind.). Actually if Kerber beat Venus at the Olympics then that was a lucky win tbh. Venus had set points in the first and served for it like twice in the second before losing in 2 tiebreaks. If Kerber's defense is on though, Venus will have to be powerfully accurate to have a chance.

Yeah she been inconsistent at tournaments, the reason she hasn't win any since 2010. But if she finds her form in 7 matches then anything is possible at that point

Only on clay tbh. She was destroyed mercilessly by Venus during the grass court season. She's quite good on hard, but a slower hard surface, so it'll work better at the Australian Open for her

Kerber is really fit, she's just played too many matches this year and ran out of steam during the Cincy final. She pulled out of Dallas so she should be fresh enough for this tournament, I don't think fatigue will be a factor. She's still not used to playing at a top level, so next year she'll need to schedule herself better. Radwanska is also paying the price of playing too much. I can't believe she didn't withdraw from New Haven.

Looking forward to the Venus Kerber match. It's a shame they have to play each other so early in the draw.

Oh well she did play a lot of matches this year. And why do the top players play at New Haven? It's right before the US Open so it's better to get your rest tbh .
