The thing that critics (and I) love about CRTFY is that it's not as generic as your basic faves leads. Shakira is on Roc now, she could of easily called up Dr.Luke or some tired EDM producer and released some tacky song like Roar by Sara Barellies or Applause by Madonna. She could of easily thrown together some safe generic song like XO but she served wuality instead. Shakira isn't about quick little singles anyway...

But if she did release an EDM single it would've done worse. She should stick to Latin inspired music because that's what she's good at
