They should've done it right after the release of the song.
They waited two months during which they did absolutely nothing in the US, her image wasn't and still isn't on point at all, at that moment she just had a big flop with her 'comeback buzz' single, they didn't bother getting a radio deal or at least a full well planed radio tour and all the press articles were talking about Lizzie McGuire and Luca.... Well if you call this promo I don't

And don't forget she was a big star back in the days but she's been absent for 7 years, seriously GMA isn't a show where you can make a comeback. She should've performed in a Big awards show like the VMAs, or at least the TCAs.

I think you're of thinking a Lady Gaga "The Fame Monster," Justin Bieber "My World" (?) or Austin Mahone "The Secret" type of EP and that's not what we are talking about in here at all.

EPs are normally used as promotional tools to not only test new music from an artist, but also to spread the word out about an artist's upcoming release AND to get an idea of how well an artist may sell. EPs aren't normally released physically and don't require any promotion really.

It would have been a great idea for RCA to release an EP before the holiday season to see how she does and to get more word out about her new music with another song or two. Not to mention, she'd obviously sell more during the holidays than after. That being said, All About You is tumbling down radio now so it would probably be pointless.

Yeah, I know and understand all of that. But, it would still be rather pointless either way. Hilary and the record label simply need to go back to the drawing board and start off fresh and figure out a plan and do it quickly.

Yeah... if she wants a proper comeback, they (she, her team and RCA) need to focus 100% on her comeback with heavy promo and great timing along with it.

I don't think the material was the main problem because AAY was actually a moderate hit in Australia where it got proper promo a month after it's release (still kinda late imo) and that's a proof that AAY would have slayed if they tried a little bit harder

I was expecting We Can't Stop, Come And Get It or even Heart Attack kind of promo tbh

On the bright side, at least we got to hear 2 songs and performances with it after 7 years, i guess it's better than nothing, right?

If they're gonna bring a new single, they better go IN with the promo or else...

Just give it time man, I'm sure once Younger wraps, she will take time for herself then jump fully back into it like she said she's an all or nothing girl. I do hope she attends AMA though.

No. If she tried that it would be inauthentic as ****. First and foremost she needs to be herself and truly believe in the music she's putting out. I think AAY if a good song, but maybe it lacked that "punch" it needed to be massive.
