In other news, SNSD's The Great Escape is currently slaying my life. Got it on repeat for like the last few hours.
Their albums turned out to be not as horrific as I imagined it to be
TGE is from their first Japanese album, and pretty much everyone universally agrees their Japanese stuff slays their Korean discography. Especially their first JP album.
I'm totally here for EDM music taking over Korea tbh. I also saw that my other favourite producers (Showtek) slayed inside the Melon top 50 the other day
Well forms of EDM have already infiltrated the idol scene, for example the dubstep breakdowns in every single song that SM made in 2013. I'm excited for other forms of EDM to be explored amongst the idols, too.
Sort of related but as an extension of the dubstep influences, C-Clown released "Justice" which featured drum n bass mixed with a little bit of dubstep. It was a sound that I was hoping would take off in Korea this year, but it didn't.

I've read that a dozen of times in this thread, but the dissappointing quality of their Korean singles made me think y'all were lying tbh

Dubstep bridges always sounded very cheap to me (besides f(gods) ''Toy'', of course), but drum n bass is amazing. I guess it's no coincidence that ''Justice'' is like my favourite male group song this year
It'd be nice for one act like C-Clown to explore the genre more, since they didn't take off with that slow stuff they did before anyway.

I downloaded it and it sounds pretty amazing tbh. Am searching k2nblog for their 2nd Japanese right now
Pop music is pop music and from the very small amount of Red Light that we've heard, there is absolutely nothing of interest or captivating. To each their own and whatnot.
Why do you even keep up with K-pop if you think there is nothing interesting about their album and yet it's still going to be the best release? Might as well just ditch the genre altogether

TVXQ's "Catch Me" did it pretty spectacularly, too.
I really hope that C-Clown take on the drum n bass more because it really is a unique sound that idols haven't really touched, that could easily become their niche. However, because it didn't do too well commercially, I won't get my hopes up for them to continue that genre.

The bass guitar in the song is literally EVERYTHING.

might wanna take a seat back from the cynicism, my friend
I explicitly acknowledged the subjectivity of this issue when stating "To each their own and whatnot." Furthermore, any inferences from my language are certainly not conscious. Moreover, I wasn't implying that people should share my opinion but questioning why I didn't share similar sentiments, particularly as the medley, despite being too short to come to a finite conclusion, in my opinion, is nothing new or revolutionary which is, as you suggested, the norm for K-Pop and, thus, as to why this is so good.
Article: [Exclusive] Park Bom, she said she didn't know they were drugs... Then why did she disguise them as snacks?
Source: Segye Ilbo via Naver
Grandmother who tried to receive the package told detectives at the time, "My daughter claimed they were jelly style snacks that were for dieting." The package was eventually discovered by detectives to contain drugs. Article claims she had to have known that they were drugs if she went as far as to disguise them as snacks to her family.

2. [+691, -48] I wonder how stupid fangirls and fanboys are going to shield this ㅋ
3. [+656, -47] Enough with the shields already
4. [+86, -6] Why disguise her treatment pills as snacks?... Enough with the shields...
5. [+84, -4] If she has a prescription for them, why not bring them in herself? Why make everything so suspicious if they're for treatment?
6. [+79, -3] I'm suspicious of one thing. If she sent it to her grandmother because she's busy along with her parents, why not just send it to YG's company building? I'm sure they would've taken it in for her.
7. [+65, -4] Yang CEO seems to have made things worse.. Should've stopped with the shields.
8. [+61, -3] I was going to shield her... since she could've had it delivered in any box... but the fact that she hid them in between jelly snacks... There's no way I can shield that, Bom-ah... It's disappointing.
9. [+57, -2] If this is true, YG's disgusting
