Deemy's definition of one-hit wonder is similar to Vh1's definition. On Vh1's Greatest One Hit Wonders of the '90s, Vanilla Ice was ranked on the list for "Ice Ice Baby," even though "Play That Funky Music" was a top 5 hit. But who really remembers "Play That Funky Music"? Most people only remember "Ice Ice Baby." So while Billboard has its own definition of a one-hit wonder, other sources have theirs and it's relative. Deemy isn't totally off mark.

I agree and accept that the term can also generally mean an act defined by one hit, but I just prefer the technical LOL. As I said, because so many artists can be deemed such even with having more hits.

I don't dislike either CMM or Good Time; like they're both catchy & "feel good", but they are the type of songs that I got super annoyed by once they're overplayed. CMM is so overplayed & overrated now I pretty much have grown to hate it & I turn the station everytime it comes on. Good Time will be super annoying to me once radio gets all over it too. It's already kind of overrated IMO.

She still kind of seems like a fad, but Interscope seems DETERMINED to make her a tween-friendly hybrid force of Katy Perry/Britney Spears/Selena Gomez with these A-list producers. Max Martin turns almost everything he touches into a hit. M5 just got one of their biggest hits by working with him.

Well, they looked kinda bad by making Gaga out to be their only act worthy of attention and support. When things fell through the cracks, they had to make up for it in some way or another.

They need to balance it out in one way or another, and give all their acts equal opportunities. What they've been doing with 50 Cent is simply shameful.

Remember in 2008 when Gwen Stefani said she wanted to take a break, Fergie said she wanted to rejoin the BEPs and Nelly Furtado said she wanted to release a Spanish album, so Interscope panicked and got another woman and made her basically a combination of the three of them?

Interscope is such an awful label anyway. Everybody on there flops, Natalia Kills, Skylar Grey, Keri Hilson, Dev, Nicole Scherzinger. It's sad how they have one successful pop girl and the rest just get basically ignored. I hate that label. Even Madonna flopped when she moved to the label.

They are awful with unknown acts but are amazing at promoting high-profile acts : Lady GaGa, The Black Eyed Peas & Eminem all got excellent promotion thanks to Interscope's dealings. They're the best label to keep your popularity on, however they seem to snub lesser known acts.
