RIGHT, perched for leaks for weeks but they were always going to be like 'wow..i love the album but im not in LOVE with it, i only love 13 out 16 songs on the album, i'll buy the next one for sure!'
The only thing I'm annoyed about is that this era could've slayed I love I Bet but it's not representative of the album. Why is she doing the reverse of what other R&B artists do? They release mainstream pop singles for the gp and have R&B songs on the album for the stans
I'm not that bothered about it because the album slays and that's all I care about but I just have the feeling this is gonna be another missed opportunity
I'm more into her more recent albums just cause they are a bit more cohesive for me and her earlier stuff felt like really good singles and a lot of filler. Don't get me wrong though, I love all of her albums.
I don't see anything dethroning Self-Titled for me just because it really got me into her in the first place and even though I probably stan for other artists harder than Ci, it is by far the most played album in my library.
"I Got You", "Stuck On You" and "Only One" are the only good songs on the album besides I Bet w/ Joe. I may hate on Ciara but Ive never hated her music. For her to release an album like this when I can't tolerate 60% of the tracklist is just.. Ehh.
Ciara > The Evolution > Fantasy Ride > Basic Instinct> Jackie = Goodies.

This is true tbh. She should have gone with a poppier singe. Or I Bet should have been released earlier as a promo track because from a celebrity standpoint it makes sense since the last thing she was really in the news prior to the album was Future cheating and the breakup.
