Why don't I post in here more often?
I'm replaying FireRed right now - I love the 3rd generation so much.

Does anyone else do this thing I do, where I plan out my whole team beforehand? Or do you guys just sort of go with the flow and catch what you think is cool?

can you guys tell me which pokemon are the best?

Anyone know if solosis or the fire/ghost lamp pokemon are good?

yes the nucleus and lamp pokemon are great
i also recommend catching a petilil
lilligant is great and it gets Quiver Dance

I always breed the Pokémon I want to use in-game. I just bred an Adamant Shroomish with Spore, a Mudkip with Refresh and just a Bagon for my new game on Pokémon Sapphire. So yeah, I plan beforehand.
On new games I just follow the storyline though, pick a starter and a few nice Pokémon I find along the story, but when I've replayed a game a hundred times, like Sapphire, it's much more fun to breed good Pokémon and set new challenges for yourself



By the way, I just saw this gif. She is probably the most flawless Gym Leader

as much as i love the snivy line (my favorite grass starters)
they're kinda bad in game

i think you'd be best off with Oshawott

Snivy and its evolutions are extremely cool looking, but its attacking stats aren't very good. Oshawott is probably the best in-game starter.

Excadrill, Lilligant, Darmanitan, and Galvantula are all great in-game. Reuniclus and Chandelure are good, too.



P.S. Avoid whichever elemental monkey you end up getting. They're terrible, both in strength and design.

Hmmm....I've always been into grass pokemon more than water but ill check their movesets

I love snivy the most but I do kind of like oshawott, this may be a hard decision for me

Get a female Shroomish to level 54 so it learns Spore, then level a male Paras to ~25 so it learns Spore too, breed them and there you go, a fresh and new Shroomish with Spore
