of course pandering would exist in this day and age since homosexuality is no longer taboo to endorse. i wouldn't expect a monster to understand this but a straight person talking about the woes of being gay is patronizing and is actually reverse empowerment.

Madonna was the one doing fundraisers and going to all of the AIDs benefit events when AIDs first became prominent as a disease. A LOT of her closest friends (some who were also famous like Keith Haring) died from the disease.
