Shafted
Destiny's Child "Lose My Breath"
Alicia Keys "If I Ain't Got You"
Dierks Bentley "How Am I Doin?"
75 Britney Spears "Everytime"
The song didn't retire and it only peaked at #04 but I thought it was a great song for her. Something different.
74 Ludacris "Blow It Out"
Luda is my favorite rapper. This is his 1st of 3 songs on my year end list.
73 Kayne West "The New Workout Plan"
This song is a bit low but really, I only liked the part at the end of the song.

Ugh, I hate John Mayer (though all his songs except "Clarity" have made my top 10) but I really like this song. "Bigger Than My Body" is still my favorite song from him.
71 Norah Jones "Sunrise"
Another artist I don't really like but I really liked this song. Norah holds the trophy for worst song and video ever for "Come away with me"
70 Shania Twain "It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing"
Really low for a Shania song but I didn't really like it all that much.
69 Fefe Dobson "Everything"
I like Fefe mostly because she had the lesbian anthem of 2003 with "Take Me Away"
68 Black Eyed Peas "Let's Get It Started"
I hate hate hate "Where is the Love" but every single after that has been a good one.
67 Jessica Simpson "Take My Breath Away"
At first, I hated this song because it was faster and she overdid it but now I like it.
66 N.E.R.D. "Maybe"
65 Modest Mouse "Float On"
64 Avril Lavigne "Don't Tell Me"
First of two Avril songs to make my countdown. This song started off barely cracking the top 10 but then came back with a vengance.
63 Terri Clark "Girls Lie Too"
This song cracks me up and should've done way better than it did, retiring but peaking at #04.
62 The Killers "Somebody Told Me"
This song is just silly and stupid but I like it anyway.
61 Maroon 5 "She Will Be Loved"
Only Maroon 5 song I like. It did pretty well on my countdown.
60 Ciara f./Missy Elliot "1, 2 Step"
If you're looking for "Goodies", it stayed in the jar, it didn't make my top 75 of 2004.
59 Trick Daddy "Let's Go"
58 Janet Jackson "All Nite (Don't Stop)"
Though I can't understand a word she says in the song, I find it stuck in my head a lot. Therefore deserving of the #58 spot.
57 Monica "U Should've Known Better"
This song never actually made my countdown, but it should have! It was a good one.
56 Kimberley Locke "8th World Wonder"
I prefered the remix. She was my favorite from American Idol 2.

I liked quite a few rap songs this year. This one should've retired but alas, it did not.
54 LeAnn Rimes "Nothin Bout Love Makes Sense"

53 The Donnas "Fall Behind Me"
52 Gwen Stefani f./Eve "Rich Girl"
This song is doing a lot poorer than I expected espcially because it has "Rich" in the title. hahahahahahhaha
51 The White Stripes "Jolene"
I think this song has made my countdown 3 times and not once by the original artist, Dolly Parton.
50 Jem "They"
This song reminds me of Oompa Loompas and is just overall cool.
49 Nelly Furtado "Forca"
First of three Nelly Furtado songs on my countdown. She should've released "One Trick Pony" as a single.
48 Jay-Z "99 Problems"
He's so retired..

First of two Sarah McLachlan songs to grace my countdown.
45 Nelly Furtado "Explode"
2nd of three Nelly Furtado songs on my countdown.
44 Eminem "Like Toy Soldiers"
Only Eminem song to make my countdown ever and it's doing really well.
43 Gretchen Wilson "When I Think About Cheating"
I probably should like Gretchen a lot more than I do. This song is very good, something you don't hear every day on country radio.
42 Green Day "Boulevard of Broken Dreams"
I think everyone likes this song
41 Julie Roberts "Break Down Here"
Trace Adkins also recorded a version of this song but Ms. Roberts is better.
40 Counting Crows "Accidentally in Love"
39 Mario Winans f./P. Diddy and Enya "I Don't Wanna Know"
I thought this song was so original when it came out but it turns out it wasn't. Oh well, I still liked it anyway.
38 Shania Twain "When You Kiss Me"
2nd of three Shania songs on my countdown. I call this song "Forever and For Always Part 2" because it just isn't as good and it's more or less the same thing.
37 Black Eyed Peas "Hey Mama"
This song always makes me sing along and inspired me to always say "Hey Mama!" to my mom.
36 Keith Urban "You'll Think of Me"
Never actually made my countdown but a good one. I think all of his songs should've made my countdown at some point but oh well.
35 Billy Currington "I've Got a Feelin"
I love Billy Currington. It's his 1st of 2 songs on my top 75.
34 Franz Ferdinand "Take Me Out"
This song has awesome music, the lyrics are pretty dumb though.
33 Toby Keith "Whiskey Girl"
The 2nd of three songs on Vh1's top 20 worst songs of 2004 to make my list. "Breathe, Stretch Shake" and the song right below this one made that list and mine.

2nd of Three Luda songs to make my countdown.
31 Liz Phair "Extraordinary"
30 Kylie Minogue "Red Blooded Woman"
29 Lenny Kravitz "Where Are We Running?"
This song never made my countdown but I regard it as the #29 best song of 2004.
28 N.O.R.E. f./Nina Sky "Oye Mi Canto"
I really liked this song but I don't think most people knew what it meant.
27 Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss "Whiskey Lullaby"
A very good duet but also very sad.

3rd Nelly Furtado song to make my list. "Powerless" made my top 75 last year at #54.
25 Scissor Sisters "Laura"
"This'll be the last time I ever do your hair...
24 Goo Goo Dolls "Give a Little Bit"
23 Mis-Teeq "Scandalous"
This is my guilty pleasure song of 2004. It made my top 10 for a few days but it should've done better.

This song never made my top 10 but it is so my life song. "I'm Here for the Party and I ain't leavin til they throw me out!"
21 LL Cool J "Headsprung"
20 Sheryl Crow "Light in Your Eyes"
"The First Cut is the Deepest" made my list year at #56.

"Harmonium" is on my list of cds I want but are too lazy to get.
18 Avril Lavigne "My Happy Ending"
Every Avril song has made my countdown in some way but this one is her best.
17 Big and Rich "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)"
This song is just ridiculously silly but it's one of my favorites of 2004.
16 OutKast "Roses"
I wasn't fond of "Hey Ya!" or "The Way You Move" but this one was great.
15 Evanescence "Everybody's Fool"
"Going Under" and "My Immortal" made my 2003 list at #30 and #3 respectively. However "Going Under" is my favorite song from them so this year it'd be a lot higher.
14 Seether f./Amy Lee "Broken"
13 Red Hot Chilli Peppers "Fortune Faded"
I love the guitar in this song. They need a new cd.
12 Kelly Clarkson "Breakaway"
11 Alanis Morissette "Eight Easy Steps"
1st of 2 Alanis songs on my countdown that made it to #1 on both my top 10 AND my hawt 20.
10 Sarah McLachlan "World on Fire"
The cd version of this song is beautiful, the remix ruined it.
09 Shania Twain f./Billy Currington or Mark McGrath "Party for Two"
Last year Shania, Shania had 2 songs in the top 10, this year only one. I prefer the Billy currington version of this song because yeah...
08 The Rasmus "In The Shadows"
I really got into The Rasmus this year. They're kinda dark but still pretty much pop. Sorta like Ace of Base + Good Charlotte but not as annoying.
07 Michelle Branch "Til I Get Over You"
Besides Shania, the only other artist to have 2 straight top 10 songs on my two year end countdowns. "Breathe" made it last year at #10
06 Shakira "Poem to a Horse"
Shakira needs a new cd but releasing this song held me over for a bit.
05 Ludacris "Get Back"
Best rap song of the year AND it's Luda. Last year that award went to Ginuwine for "Hell Yeah" at #24.
04 The Offspring "Hit That"
The Offspring are my favorite rock group so this song which is borderline 2003 but I really liked it in the beginning of 2004 gets the #4 spot.
03 Sara Evans "Suds in the Bucket"
Highest country song at the year end countdown. Last year (besides Shania) was Montgomery Gentry with "Hell Yeah" at #06. The best part of the song is when she talks about the old ladies in the beauty shop gossiping and sipping on pink lemonade.
02 Gwen Stefani "What You Waiting For?"
SO close to being #1 but not. "It's My Life" got the runner up spot last year and also "Running" was high at #11.
01 Alanis Morissette "Everything"
THE #1 SONG OF THE YEAR. It made it to #01 on my daily countdown 33 times, spent 7 weeks on top my HAWT 20 countdown spending a record 26 weeks on. Last years's #1 song, btw was "A Sorta Fairytale"
Well that was 2004. hopefully 2005 will be even better
