LOS ANGELES (AP) — There's a reason Kelly Clarkson has performed duets with country superstars like Reba McEntire, Jason Aldean and Vince Gill but never one of her Top 40 colleagues in the 10 years since she became the first "American Idol". They've turned her down — eight times.

"I have, like, 5,000 duets in country music," Clarkson says, flashing a smile. "I don't have one in pop. That's legitimately because everyone turns me down. I'm not even kidding. But the thing is, maybe they turned her down because:
A) She approached them in the wrong way (the tweet)
B) They didn't like the song Kelly send to them
C) They were too busy at the moment, Kelly talked a lot about pop schedules not working together.

It's still a shame though. The right pop duet will happen in time.

I'm really hating iTunes right now.... Why on earth is the album still shown as an pre-order, when it's been the 16th for over an hour already?? It specifically says that the release date for the album is 16-11-2012.

Is this something that people behind the scenes manually have to change from to pre-order to 'able to download'???

They mentioned Kelly on E! News a few minutes ago. During the "So True, So False" segment. It was about if she's getting married. Nothing new she said they probably will some day, and how he has 2 kids and they want them to be ok with everything. They also mentioned her GH coming out on Monday and showed a clip of CMB video.

I doubt she's counting that tweet as people who have turned her down. She was playfully throwing that out there. It wasn't an OFFICIAL request. Give KC more credit than that. She's been asked to do duets and there are others who she has apparently asked to duet with her, she knows how it is supposed to be done.

And besides, nobody even replied to the tweet, so that's not turning her down.

I would love to know who it was too. If P!nk was one, I will freak.

I actually am sure Adele is probably one.
