To be honest I think all of this fighthing they are causing is soooo unnecessary. I for one don't stan for Miley or Demi but I do like a few of their songs. I buy music based on what I like, not on the artist itself (except some cases like Britney and Kelly Clarkson), and so far Selena hasn't disappointed at all. It seems like Smilers and Lovatics stan for chart sales and not music/personality, which is kinda strange. I'm freaking happy for Selena that she's reaching #1, she totally deserves, but we (and by we, I mean fans) know that sales and numbers are not everything. Like you Trent, you bought 21 copies, people say it's because of sales but you did it because you want to support your fave, right?

I stan for the person just as much as I stan for the music. I have to like the artist as a person + their material. I bought that many copies because Selena deserves it.

It's funny because both stanbases were always trying to drag her because she didn't have a top 20 hit or a #1 album and now that she has both they are fuming. Oh well. Selena remains unbothered.
